So with these mirrors you don't need a seperate mounting kit? They come with everything you'll need?

it really depends on how you want to mount them. I move my grips in on both sides of the handlebars just enough to bolts the units to the bars. You'll need to cut the opening in the ends of your grips tho,. If you're more fastidious, you'll want a bar-end kit and these do not come with that. Some motorcycles come with pre-tapped handlebar ends to make the process easier.

Is the mirror rigid enough to handle high speed wind? Does it hold its "zero" or does it shift? Thanks in advance.

Not that I have ever exceeded the posted speed limit because that would be illegal... to answer your question the mirrors hold up fine at high-speed. They are very small though and it is hard to see what is actually in the mirror because of the size. If I had to do again I would buy a larger size

Will this fit 2016 superduke 1290 r?

It should fit nearly all bikes with the adjustment available. I tried the bar end weight and put this in, then tighten the weight back down. You may need a longer bolt but it's not likely. 2000 miles mine is still there.
