I really was impressed to find they had included a stability wheel add-on. I proves to me that the manufacturer was thinking of their users and built the best scooter they could. I am rarely impressed. I found the All Terrain Knee Rover Jr is solidly built. All the parts are solid and have weight. The manufacturing standards are high as all the parts that needed to mate together did so with out any effort. It was easy for me to assemble the Knee Rover for my partner. The parts mated easily. It came with a readable, well laid out manual to guide the assembly. They provided solid, good quality tools to assist with the assembly. I looked at a lot of knee scooters before a found a few that I liked the design. As I was searching Knee scooters I was thinking of how I would design one. I would have only one rear wheel that would be easier to propel with one leg there is no need to avoid a rear wheel. it would have a fixed front axial and wheels that turn. A shock absorber and places to park crutches for the moments those are needed. I found most of those features in the Knee Rover. I think the designs that the frame holding the front wheels rotates is a danger as when turning the stability drops as the width of the scooter drops by the wheels changing angle. The Knee Rover uses a fix front arm and uses tie rods to turn the front wheels. I think that is a more stable design and will lead to safer maneuvering of the unit. Three items for improvement -- all minor -- 1- I will be adjusting the brake so my partner can squeeze the handle enough to active the brake lock -- a great idea by the way. I do not recall if there were any instructions to adjust the brake settings. 2- I would have liked to have brakes on the front wheels as well. We live in Alberta Canada and it can get slippery in the winter - three brakes are better then one. 3- Having a shock absorber like some of the bikes have these days would have been a plus -- I do see a model that has a shock system at double the price in amazon. One suggestion -- add a method to carry crutches as they are needed at times when the Rover can't access a space or stairs.

I’m currently in a cast for 8 weeks (7 now), and honestly, I can’t express how grateful I am for this invention. Before buying it, I did my homework—looked at similar models and went through all the negative reviews first, not just the positive ones. It’s been a complete game changer. I don’t feel as limited as I did when I was just using crutches. If you’re active and fit, I’d definitely recommend it. Even if you’re a bit overweight, it’s still worth getting—just take your time getting used to it and adjust it in a way that works best for you. I chose not to install the support wheel, and once I inflated the tyres more, it became much faster. That’s when I realised they probably ship it slightly under-inflated on purpose so users can get used to it safely at first.

If you're looking at this... you need it. So get it. The sooner you do, the longer you will have your independence back. (As a parent, this is a win for everyone) Purchased for a 10 year old who had surgery and couldn't bare weight on foot for 6 weeks. We couldn't rent one locally, so we bought this one. It's on the lowest settings for him, and would easily work for me at 5'3 as well when adjusted. We didn't bother with the stability wheel, as it "looks like a training wheel", but, it was stable enough for an active and mobile boy. He was easily able to lift it and shift it where and when he wanted to. He could lift over lips in doors or down curbs (it's crazy how inaccessible spaces are in your community when you become aware). That being said, it was easy enough for a 10 year old and far better than the learning curve and struggle of slipping on ice and instability with crutches. Used in Canada before and during first snow. Used on ice, in snow and works great. We did get the this all train version which was great. Used at school, on school ramps. Breaks work great and there is a break lock for when taking off jacket and hanging up bags, using the toilet etc. The only fallback was that we trekked in snow everywhere, but I wasn't about to buy one for inside our house and another for out. When sitting in a school chair or at restaurant, the seat portion of this scooter is a great height for resting a foot on it. Or, you can also slip the seat under a desk to keep it out of the way. Handles fold back to put in trunk. Or... the whole unit is small enough to lay on its side in a hatchback or extended cab truck with the seat up. Basket is a great size and not too big as to get in the way. It also comes off easily if you prefer not to have it.
