Very sturdy, easy to assemble, plenty of room underneath
Some specific notes on features below: PACKAGING: This product arrives in a box approximately 2 1/2 x 4 feet and it's quite heavy - so be prepared to lug up the steps with some help if needed. It's packed with foam pieces that are themselves packed in a plastic wrap so there's very little mess when everything is taken out (none of those stray little pieces of Styrofoam that always seem to break off - a very nice little extra feature! ASSEMBLY: The product comes with everything required to assemble it (allen wrench, regular wrench, and screws). Those who have assembled furniture or similar things in the past will find this very easy to figure out without the instructions. Otherwise, the instructions themselves are picture-based and very straight-forward. HEIGHT: I was a little surprised at how tall this ended up being. With the the frame, a box spring, and a mattress, the entire thing ends up at waist height which requires a bit of a hop to get onto. I don't mind this much personally, but if it bothers you, you do have the option of doing without a box spring if you have a standard spring mattress. I wasn't willing to put my foam mattress directly on the bed slats because I would prefer to put it on a flat surface. Overall, the height does give the entire room a more airy appearance to me - because the bed is so high, light finds it's way underneath and even bounces off the hardwood (if you have it) such that the entire room is brighter now than it was with a low, dark space under the bed. STURDINESS: The bed makes no squeaks, creaks or other sounds once assembled (assuming all the slats have fully settled into place) even with two people in it. This holds true even under the scenario you're thinking about.

Assembly? Don't worry about it.
So let me start by saying I am 5 feet tall and I ordered a king size frame. The box weighed about 50 lbs, just under half my bodyweight. I was able to carry this up three flights of stairs and assemble it alone in 95⁰ indoor heat without assistance. The whole process, including taking apart my old bed, took about an hour. The box was well packed, everything was very well contained. I expected the instructions to be in with the hardware, but they were in one of the many internal boxes. Putting things together is very straightforward. The instructions are primarily pictographs, with a chart that labels which hardware is which. Hardware came pre sorted with all the tools you'll need, big plus all around. I've noticed some people expressing concerns about the support slats and having problems with plastic ends. The ends of all of the horizontal bars on the model I received were tipped with durable rubber to ensure they stay put. Getting them in was honestly the hardest part, expect to use your chest compression skills if you've ever done CPR. They require a lot of solid downward pressure right on the ends. You'll feel them gradually click in. Very sturdy. Now, I can't speak to how it stands up to adult shenanigans or multiple people, but I will say I love rolling around in bed and the only sounds I've had have been from the mattress. It's a traditional pillow top spring kinda deal, adding a foam topper had pretty much eliminated that problem. YMMV. The biggest draw for me was storage. Like a lot of other young people I found myself unexpectedly moving an apartment load of stuff home this spring, and I found myself living in a sea of boxes (and two twin beds) in my childhood bedroom. I'm probably an outlier, but I love a really tall bed. Like, gotta get a good workout to climb up kinda tall. Like, absolutely using a step stool in my last bed kinda tall. This is not that. The clearance is enough to fit a single layer of tall clear storage bins, the kind you'd find in the storage aisle of target. It is not high enough to fit a large suitcase on its side, which was something I was really hoping for. That's on me for not measuring I suppose. I feel like I could put this bed on risers easily, but keep in mind if you do you'll need nine total. Eight around the edges, one in the middle. I would like to stress this bed has abundant storage for most normal situations in which your kitchen things can live in your kitchen, I'm absolutely shooting for the moon. Another structural bonus, all the screws and bolts finish on the inside of the frame. No accidentally impailing your shin on the end of a screw while you're trying to make the bed. For the price I really feel like you won't find better. Absolutely go for it. I've been over the moon for days now.

Item was easy to assemble and is very strong. My husband is 6 FT Tall 300 lbs and this frame (without box spring) is able to hold our new hybrid mattress and the two of us without any issues. A bit of squeaking but nothing disruptive. The support legs in the middle of the bed take some getting used to as we keep walking into them but I wrapped padded black socks around them and problem solved. Great purchase for the price very pleased with it.

Super convenient that it can fold out of the way. Sturdy support for mattress. Solid. Good value for money.

Update: a year later there are a few squeaks, but nothing serious. Tightened up the bolts and that made a minor improvement but didn’t take all the squeaks away. We just received the frame (king) yesterday. All pieces were included and it went together easily - it took a little less than half an hour. Simple tools were provided, but we needed to use our own tools (ratchet, rubber mallet) to finish the job up correctly. Slept on it last night, feels nice and solid, no squeaking. LOVE the storage underneath. It was well packed, but there were a few scratches that are not especially visible. Because we already had it, we put plywood on top of the slats for extra support.

Very sturdy, easy to put together and really simple to clean up the bed because it sit up high enough. Also great because you don't need any box spring.
