I love this
Does such a good job at cleaning in between my teeth. Might not be suitable for people that have very small gaps between their teeth, biodegradable and easy to refill.

Absolutely fabulous!
Clearly a lot of inspired love went into this whole package. This is the best floss that I have ever used in my whole life! Itโs strong, no issues with breakage, even though my teeth are very close together, and it cleans really well. Nice flavour. The little tin is beautifully designed stores the floss perfectly and cuts it well. The name โ tree bird โ is perfect too. This is one thing we can all do to help keep the fish safe and oceans and beaches a bit cleaner. Donโt hesitate. If you choose to continue to use plastic or nylon floss please remember to cut it into shorter lengths after use before trashing it bc the long lengths injure the fish etc badly when they get tangled up in it. And what is bad for them is also bad for us for we have been given the responsibility to care for the whole earth and everything on in above beneath her.

Pretty terrific
I have close-together, tight teeth and even the hygienist has trouble flossing my teeth, so I knew this might be challenging. Yes, the first time I tried using this floss it broke, but once I got the hang of it, I now like it a lot, and have not had any breaks. It seems that the trick to removing it between teeth is to pull it to a new, waxed portion of the floss. It does feel like it does a better cleaning job once it's between teeth than the Glide Pro-Health, and now I have the reassurance of not ingesting any noxious chemicals.

If you have super tight teeth, this is the floss for you!
If I could give this 10 stars, I would. Ever since Glide floss discontinued the old PFAS version, I was on the hunt for a floss that would fit in the very tight spaces between my teeth. I tried a total of 6 flosses until I found this Treebird silk floss. Here's my ranking: (1) Treebird silk floss: using this one just once finally ended my search! I just wish i had tried this one first. It glides really easily between my tight teeth. I've used it for about a month and have had no problems with breaking. (2) Dr. Tung's smart floss (non-vegan) almost worked. The way the fibers expand and contracts, it could almost squeeze between my tight teeth. I also really liked how you could really see how much food it was cleaning off my teeth, and it really did feel like it was cleaning my teeth better than other floss. However, after a few days of using the floss, some of my teeth began to ache--probably because it was putting too much pressure on the teeth when maneuvering the floss. (3) Dr. Tung's activated charcoal vegan floss: didn't glide nearly as well as the non-vegan one. Would sometimes get stuck. (4) the newer version of Glide floss: doesn't glide well at all. (5) Radius silk floss: gave up after 2 attempts. would get stuck (6) Coco floss: way too thick. Gave up after flossing 2 teeth. I appreciate that it doesn't have a scent, how it's compostable, and the metal container. In reference to Marie Kondo, whenever I look at the floss container, it truly brings me joy--especially after how long it took me to find this.

Good product
This floss works fine and doesn't have cancer-causing properties like the brand I've used forever apparently did.

Not as durable as plastic, but there are ways to mitigate that
This floss has clear environmental and health advantages over plastic floss, but it's less durable. I never had a problem breaking plastic floss, but when I first got this, I would break it every time. It was frustrating and wasteful. To be fair, I have closely spaced teeth, which worsens this problem. Over the past five months, however, I've learned how to prevent this with two changes to how I floss. First, I've found silk floss is pretty strong along its length, but not along its width, so when removing it from between teeth, I pull it straight up through my teeth rather than on an angle. This also avoids the sharp edges at the top of teeth. If it gets stuck, I let go of one end and pull it out sideways. I would never do this with plastic floss because once plastic floss gets wet, it slides off my fingers. This floss doesn't have that problem as much. Second, this floss is more easily frayed by use, even when avoiding a sawing motion as TreeBird advises. To combat that, I move to a different section of floss after each quadrant of teeth. This takes a little more floss, but it's effective. These changes were inconvenient at first, but now they're habit. I still occasionally break this floss, but that happens about once a month now rather than daily. That's well worth avoiding PFAS and microplastics. I rate this four stars for solving the problems of plastic floss, but not five, because even with changes in use, it's still less durable than traditional floss.

new convert to silk floss
After three months of daily (occasionally twice daily) use, I've finished one spool of this floss. I really like it! It's sturdy and I like that it has a bit of texture to it. I feel like it is actually doing something to clean my teeth and I love knowing I'm not putting more plastic in my body or the environment afterwards! I have a couple teeth that are a little tight and it's harder to get between, so I can see it being more challenging to use if one has tightly spaced teeth. I haven't had any issues with the floss breaking or shredding. I also love the little reuseable dispenser!
