KICKER for Dodge Ram Crew Cab 2012 & up Speaker Bundle- 2-Pairs of CS 6x9 Speakers, & a Pair of CS 3.5" Speakers

Absolutely transforms your audio! 2017 Ram1500 CrewCab. Uconnect 5.0, RA-2 head unit. Amazing difference in sound and it will make the OEM speakers sound like trash. Great value for the money. Be advised that this KIT is not just swap em out and done. Read below or you will be very disappointed. Install Must Haves: 1. Buy Metra speaker harnesses. You will need 2 Metra 72-7902 (3.5” Dash) and 4 Metra 72-6514 (6x9’s). These connect the speaker to your factory connectors. Clean install, no splicing. Clips in like stock. 2. You WILL absolutely need 6x9 spacers for the front doors. No question about it. Kickers magnet hits the window regulator arm. I used a 1/4” spacer then used plastic to make mine about 3/8”. 1/2” is too big, makes it really difficult to get the door panel back on flush. Requires a little backyard ingenuity or if you are fortunate enough to have access to a 3D printer. Use silicone/RTV to seal the spacer against the door. No clearance issues on rear doors, plenty of room. 3. Pay attention to this, most importantly!!!. The OEM 3.5” dash speakers are 8ohm speakers. The Kicker 3.5” are 4ohm. You need to add a resistor. If you do not, your dash speakers will overpower everything with highs and make your ears bleed making you realize your audio system is worse than stock. Here is how to fix it: Purchase 10watt 4ohm resistors. Little white ceramic “brick” with a lead on each end. Splice/solder/heatshrink this into the Positive wire on both of the Metra 72-7902 harnesses. The positive lead has the wider speaker blade connector. Just cut a section out of the wire and install this in the gap of both harnesses. Now you have an 8ohm speaker again as designed. Crank it up and ENJOY!!! Until you realize a powered hideaway subwoofer behind the rear seat would complete the audio! Haha, happened to me! Sounds amazing though! Better than stock Alpine.

GET A SPACER. They fit but would be much easier. Great sound. I need to put a Amp on them the factory doesn't do them justice.

So far I like them. They are still new and I'm currently running the factory radio off them. Soon I will be running an amp, so we'll see how they handle it. You WILL need ⅜" spacers for the front speakers. I found 3D printed ones on Amazon for cheap and they worked great. Also, like everyone else commented on their reviews, get the proper plugs..it makes install a breeze. My biggest gripe is the screws. They are very cheap and strip easily. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5.. Right now I'm only running probably 15-20 watts RMS from factory radio (non-alpine). I have an amp that will push 100 watts RMS for each speaker (except the tweeters). I'll update after I get the amp installed. Also, note these are 4ohm speakers and the factory I believe are 8ohm. The front tweeter on non alpine system is tied into the front 6x9s from everything I read. Since I'm using an amp I'm running all my wires separately.

This review is for installing the speakers in a 2014 Ram Express. Picture in the listing is for the Kicker D series line of speakers. You're gonna get the C series if you buy from this listing. They're still great speakers and easier to install if you buy the wiring harnesses. For the door speakers you will need: Metra 72-6514. The dashboard speakers will need: Metra 72-7902. Amazon doesn't sell the 7902. You can purchase from Best Buy or Crutchfield. You can just splice them if you want but getting the harnesses is for real pressing the easy button. They are a like for like replacement for factory speakers in my truck. Time consuming part is removing the door panels to get to the speakers. They sound great. Edit 5/26/2022 I had to come back and say this: if you just dropped these in without sound deadeninig and fast rings you're really missing out. i put the kilmat brand sound deadening on the door right behind the speaker and around the the outside of the speaker mount. i also added gasket tape to the back of the speaker and fast rings. HUGE difference. almost don't need subwoofers.

These are worth every penny! I had the stock basic speakers in my 2014 RAM 1500 Express. I never really cared for the sound that much but I got the truck because I wanted a truck with lots of room and wasn’t really worried about the stereo system. I finally decided I needed to do something about the just ok sound of the stereo. I saw a few reviews and install videos on this set and the price was great so I said what the hell and got them. Man what a difference! Higher highs and deeper lows. They sound soo much better and can handle the stock headunit with no problem. Wish I had got them sooner. You will need a spacer for the front door 6X9s. I used a 1/2 inch, I’d say use the 1/4. The 1/2 fit but we’re tight and took some adjusting. The spacer is to get the speaker magnet off the window support. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a great upgrade without breaking the bank.

These speakers Rock! Plenty of bass. I followed the advice of one of the users adding a resister to the dash tweets and 1/4 inch spacers for the front to clear the window mechanisms. Using the stock head. These were a significant improvement over stock.

Great speakers for the money. Sounds pretty good. They are very loud. I little ear piercing on the high end at times but you can tune it down a bit. I would give it 9 for value, 7 for sound quality (don't get me wrong it sounds good for a mid level speaker) I in stalled my in my 2019 dodge ram and did it in about 3 hours total. Didn't need any spacers for front speakers either. Think I may put an amp on these later but I feel I good a good deal on these speakers.
