I always use this brand to spray out metal cabinet handles, as 2 coats and holds up very well. The only downside is it is not as shiny as shown on the cap, which I was expecting. But otherwise would recommend.

Used this to gild my book pages. Worked nice with good color and adhesion. I used a clear coat first, allowed to dry. Used this color far enough away it didn't flake off. Allowed to dry for a minute or so and used a second coat. Allowed that to dry and used a clear coat again to finish. Pages easily separated without paint flaking off. Total time maybe 5 minutes. Much easier then heat transfer foil that needed to be sanded to a shine with fine grit sandpaper and still no guarantee the foil with stick or not flake off or rub off!
