Highly recommend this filter
Easy to change. Makes the water much better. Definitely improves the taste. Last about 6 months and fits perfectly.

inexperienced but seems great with good plumber feedback
I am newer to being on well water. I bought this filter because it was the one the previous owners had installed. By about 3-4 months after I moved in, I noticed the filter looked rusty and had some particles settled in the housing bottom. I had a plumber installing a water softener and asked him to replace the filter for me. He said... wow, people here usually don't buy these really nice filters and removing the old one he said it really didn't need to be replaced yet. He said with this filter check it after 8 months but he wouldn't see really needing to replace it until 12 months. Visually he said it's going to look dirty and have particles in the bottom while it still has plenty of life left and really until water pressure decreases a bit, he wouldn't replace it... though replace it reasonably soon as soon as you notice the pressure drop.

misleading price
This product shows it as a two pack for said price. Which is what I thought it meant. But below. it shows a count of one. This can be misleading. If I had read it properly I wouldn't have bought it. The product itself is great.

eliminates odors and bad taste
