Most retinol is yellow in color. Why is serum not yellow if it has 2.5% retinol

Take a glass and fill it with 100% plain, crystal clear water. Refreshing serum with good consistency and texture on skin.

I really have not seen yet results as I am still barely a week in using it, but I liked the consistency and texture of it in my skin. It layers well with my make-up. It gets absorbed easily in the skin. It has a neutral smell, it doesn't smell funny.
