Great flow, waterproof ink, writing is comfortable, varied tips work well for detailed art.
Uniball makes the best pens in the world that aren't fountain pens (and they're honestly better than most modern fountain pens I've tried). These are no exception. The Uniball Pin assortment has great flow and ink color, each tip has a pleasant springy feel that lets you know when you're putting down enough pressure, even the finest of points renders a recognizable and still-dark line when you're shading, writing, adding lowlights and highlights to a dry watercolor, or mapping perspective on the first lines of an oil composition. They are also resistant to water and dry quickly on the page, which is a great feature if you're traveling. Unless you're writing on tissue-thin paper or accidentally leave the point down too long, they are unlikely to bleed through paper; it's never happened to me personally with these or any of the others I own. These are a pleasure to write and sketch with, and while I wouldn't mind a slightly more comprehensive set with more brushes or more increments for smaller pens, I'm thrilled with this and will use it until it runs out.

Great pen for art work
I bought this pen set because it was used in a tutorial I watched for watercolor painting commonly called "line and wash" painting. The pen is used for the sketching and then you use watercolor over it. I used these pens and the painting came out perfect. The ink from the pen did not blur or smudge when I applied water over it. The pen worked flawlessly as it flows perfectly on the paper and dries quickly. Perfect pens for my artwork and is a purchase I am glad I made.

Best fineline art pens out there
My favorite fineline pens! I love that the body of the pen isn't glossy like microns; it's a semi-matte which makes it much more comfortable to hold when drawing for a long period of time. I also find that the tips last longer than other fineliner pens, so they're worth the money. I only wish these came in sizes larger than 8. Micron makes a 10 and 12, and I wish Unipin did as well. Every so often I need thicker lines, and it would be great if they'd offer a full range of pens from 0.03 to 12.

Appear to be waterproof. I don't use watercolors but I did use alcohol markers and they
Anytime I buy something inexpensive on Amazon, I worry that it will be terrible quality. Although this is one of the cheapest options for this type of pen set, it works extremely well. I have a light touch when I'm writing, so for me, these pens use just the right amount of ink to make even small writing readable. The ink doesn't bleed at all. It dries almost instantly, no matter how hard you press. It also doesn't bleed through the page unless you use a lot of ink. The only thing I don't like is that the numbers on the top of the pen cap wear off easily. I left a photo to show what I mean. Only one has worn off so far and I keep them organized in the same case they came in, so I can still tell the difference between them, but if all the numbers wear off, it'll start getting confusing.

These are the standard
I am not a pen artist, but I love the art of writing, and these are just lovely. Uni pins are the standard for any size tip; writing is clean and the tips do not get "fuzzy" ever.

Great -- and they ARE water resistant/waterproof
I purchased these pens (both the ten-pack and the six-pack) for drawing and urban sketching. I have not been disappointed with the quality of the pens and how easy they are to use. The boldness of the thicker pens’ lines is great and the fine pens create the light lines often needed in drawing. However, when I tried to use watercolors to enhance my urban sketching, I was disappointed. The company’s description states that the pens won’t bleed once the ink is dry -- I did not find that to be true. I waited over a week to try to add watercolor to one of my sketches but, after testing a small area with a damp thumb, realized that the ink bleeds regardless of the ink being completely dry before testing it. These are great pens if your desire is to use them for sketching but I’d stay away from them if you want to add watercolor to those drawings. Update: I inadvertently used watercolor paints on several of the sketches I made with these pens — and there was NO ink bleeding. Since the first watercolor painting, I’ve probably made a dozen more and the ink remains waterproof once dry. I upgraded my rating to 5 stars and am delighted with these pens.

I like everything about the unipin pens. I’m a lefty so when I’m writing or drawing my hand tends to often get covered with ink and there are lots of smeared spots. Not with these pens. Even when my hand goes over the fresh ink there are no smears. That’s pretty cool in my book. They grip really nicely, too....feel good to hold. For me that’s important. I would and will buy these pens again.
