I just need to control fan speeds manually, i don’t need it to control based on temperature. is this possible? or will i be forced to fit a thermistor

Can I just use this to control the motor speed manually instead of using the thermistor inputs?

Yes, you can, by using the buttons on the PCB. You set a maximum and minimum and then the thermister control adjustment is automatically made based on the temp and how close it is to the max. Works really well and combined with a Nocura quiet fan is used to expel the air from a cabinet that houses a TV control box for an 8K Samsung TV.
