Can I use this on a carboy that holds the water (upside down) on a water cooler? Or will the handle be in the way?

The neck of the carboy this handle is designed for has 2 Large Outside Diameters, the middle neck area between those is where this handle is attached. It is made to be semi-permanent so removing the handle to let your carboy sit in the water cooler properly wouldn't work for you. There is a handle for Water Cooler Bottles specifically. Amazon sells them as: "Dolphin 5, 6 Gallon Water Bottle Handle (NOT for screw top finishing Bottle)"
