How does this shampoo work on scalp build-up?

Pretty well actually. I would keep the lather directed to your scalp because it will dry out your hair shaft.

I don't have dandruff or scalp issues, but every shampoo I've tried makes my scalp, face, ears, and shoulders itch like carzy. Would this be better?

I was very itchy on head, neck and shoulders and thought I was allergic to something. Also had scaley patches on my jaw line. Went to a dermatologist and he diagnosed some form of dandruff and said the issue was traveling from my scalp to my face particularly. This product was one of two he recommended. All scaley skin on face get ne as is itching so I am pleased with that. Will probably used the shampoo product every other hair wash. Hope this helps.
