It is so hard to find a blender jar in plastic. We broke the last two glass jars we had and got really tired of replacing them. While not heavy-duty, this jar seems sturdy enough to hold up to reasonable use. My wife is a smoothie fan, so our blender gets daily use. While slightly less capacity compared to the original jar, this one is still plenty large enough for our use.

I bought this, using the numbers from the original device and when it arrived it was completely the wrong size. The beaker was only a quart, instead of the gallon that broke, and the base was for a mini beaker. I should have returned it, but I decided that I must not have read the specs, trusting that the number from the device would get me what I expected. Deceitful advertising.
