i used the PL259 to repair an antron fed by rg8 thick coax but should work on lmr 400 i ordered my lmr from rf parts san marcos california the can confirm use of amphenol 259 ALOHA RICH

Will these work with rg 58a/u coax ? i want to get rid of the crimp connector on my 2m base station. the crimp is noisy.

Hi, thank you for the question. From my research, to use RG-58a/u coax with these connectors you would have to purchase reducing adapters such as Amphenol 83-185-RFX. These reducing adapters screw into the bottom of the connectors and allow smaller diameter coax to fit correctly. Hope that helps.
