Will this protect my iPhone 7 if I drop it?

To some degree. I've had this case for about a year, and dropped my phone dozens of times without issue. Last night, dropped it on a hardwood floor and cracked the screen. Not a high drop, but must have been at just the right angle. Cost me $175 at the Apple Store.

Does this have a cut out for a magnet?

THIS case DOES have the cutout but after ordering THIS case Spigen sent me a Liquid Air case which does NOT have the recess. Watch carefully for what they send.

Do we have that sticky feeling like in the Apple silicone case or is more slippery?

I haven't tried the Apple case, but "sticky" is not an adjective I'd use to describe this Spigen case. There isn't a whole lot of difference in feel between this case and no case.
