I like the sound quality, however If someone had inexpensive speakers it may not give out the sound as it would be capable of producing. I have a very good speaker system which adds to the sound quality and performance. I have added an acrylic mat for a better bass sound and it is fabulous. The only and significant negative would be the price of the turn table... It should be less expensive , however overall all turn tables should be less expensive . I gave an overall rating of 5 stars however modified my ratings in value , for beginners ,and sound quality because I upgraded the mat as well for a deeper sound. Hope this helps others who are thinking of purchasing this turntable.
