Great gift for small children interested in creativity

After the first two or three designs this quickly gets confusing and frustrating to use. Definitely not material for the advertised ages even under conscientious adult supervision. Poorly diagramised and terribly written instructions. Later on they get lazy and write “go do steps 1 and 2 from this design then come back’’ adding to the confusion. Good origami is not easy to do, and the chosen Medium - text and picture - the need for clear descriptions and visuals imperative. Unfortunately this isn’t. Instructions are too brief in what do to. There’s a disconnect between word and visuals with visuals in particular far to few to properly show how to get from step to step. As a family, we've had far more success watching YouTube videos and making origami with our own paper.

Fue un obserquio para mi sobrino, y a pesar de estar en ingles, los diagramas estan muy bien hechos, así que no ha tenido mayor problema.

I love origami, but it wasn't easy to follow - specifically the illustration could be better. The color of the diagram doesnt distinguish between back and front, so the diagram wasn't that helpful until a few steps later when you find that you folded the wrong edge. I love it because it comes with folding papers. Not recommended for non-school children

Great gift for kids. Keep them mentally and physically active. The instructions and step by step illustrations are great. However, for younger kids, instructions are not easy to follow, need adults supervision to guide the kids. Value for money too.

This was a fun activity for my grandson and me. The patterned papers added to the interest. He was so proud of his origami zoo.

What I love about this Kit: * The step-by-step instructions combine photographs and standard origami symbols to make them very easy to follow. * Twenty origami models are included in a small-size book that is easy to carry in your pocket or purse. * There is an assortment of models, some traditional and some of the author's creation. Some of the models are toys, but most are animals. * My First Origami Kit can be used as a lovely way to introduce children to the animal kingdom, and the concepts of reptiles, mammals, birds and insects, as all these categories are represented in this book. * A particular model I'd like to highlight is a Teddy Bear that "talks" when you open and close its arms. It also folds flat and can be attached to a greeting card. Hint: Having instructions for this model alone is worth the prize of the whole book ;-) * My First Origami Kit includes special origami paper and stickers for creature's eyes and noses. In all, this little kit is BIG fun!
