This works great!! It was a little bit hard to figure out at first but now that I have it figured out I love it. The battery lasts for a long time. And it's actually helping with training.

I really like the price and functionality
I'm not primarily an ecollar trainer, but I have used this on 30 or so dogs I've trained (out of 4,000). I really like the price and functionality. It doesn't ramp up the shock too fast. It's got good durability and is well built. I only use ecollars that also vibrate. Once the dog is basically trained to he shock (doesn't take long) then the vibrate can replace the shock. This means the collar can be worn more loosely. This biggest issue with ecollars is pressure sores over time. The second biggest issue is the APDT Association thinking that any correction for any reason on any dog is brutal. It isn't. For certain dogs and certain situations ecollars save dogs from going to the pound and being put to sleep. This is the only collar I recommend because I only use it for general aversion training, not high end sport training. If that's what you're getting one for then get this one 100%. Nothing else. And get some instruction on how to use it properly.

Solid Traing Collar
I’ve been using the DT Systems Micro iDT PLUS e-collar for a few days now, and overall, I’m really impressed with its performance. The collar is lightweight, compact, and seems very durable, even in challenging conditions. The 900-yard range is fantastic for outdoor training, and the MAXX-Range 360 technology ensures I don’t lose signal, no matter where I am. I really appreciate the 16 levels of adjustable stimulation, which makes it easy to tailor the collar to my dog’s temperament. The Gentle Touch system is a nice feature, offering milder stimulation and even a vibration option for a more humane training approach. It’s also great that the collar is waterproof, which gives me peace of mind during wet weather. The design is sleek, and I like that the collar fits a wide range of dog sizes (from 6" to 22"), making it versatile for different breeds. The automatic shut-off after 8 seconds is a smart safety feature that prevents accidental over-stimulation. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the add-on collars for expanding to multiple dogs are sold separately, which adds to the overall cost. However, for the price and features, it’s a solid choice for any dog owner looking for a reliable training tool. Overall, the DT Systems Micro iDT PLUS is an excellent e-collar that offers great value for the money, and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Great Collar
Great collar for the value. Works well distance-wise, is a bit cumbersome on the dog, but he didn't seem to mind until he misbehaved. You can adjust the 'shock value' appropriately. The vibrate function is handy. So far, the collar has held up nicely; however, the charger did not. Somehow, it was picked up with food, and we found it later in the bottom of the cooler in 2" of water. Tried the hair dryer method, the rice method, to no avail. Am now trying to find a replacement charger. Be aware the male connector to the collar is small, and hard to match with any other charger. I'll try to update with respect to availability of replacement charger.

Too much of a hassle for me.
I bought this to use as a bark/behavior deterrent for my English Bulldog. Traditional no-bark collars don't work with him because of his wrinkly neck. While this worked, it had too many negatives for me to keep it. One thing was that the collar has a NI-MH battery. 12 hours to charge, more or less. It can be overcharged, and that can limit the performance of the battery. Even new, the charge only lasted for 1-2 days (depending on amount of use), and then you'd have to charge it for 12 hours, which, for us, would usually include at least an hour of barking while we waited for the charge. Why not just charge it every day, you say? Because it can overcharge. If you plug it in before you go to bed, you need to unplug it as soon as you get up/as soon as the green "charged" light comes on. Since we only reach for it when the dog is misbehaving, remembering to unplug the collar was a hassle I didn't want, especially at this price point. It wasn't something I thought about before I bought the collar, but it was the major reason for the return. Once when I was plugging it in for recharge, a large spark came out of the collar and gave me a little zap. I wasn't real comfortable with it after that. Now, this is somewhat picky, but since I noticed it and it bothered me, I thought I'd share this last thought. The remote comes with a lanyard. Great. But the lanyard attaches to the top of the remote, next to the antenna. In practice, that meant that if you had the remote around your neck, you would need to turn it around and upside down to work the buttons. This means a lag time of giving the dog a correctlive response, which means -- at least for our stubborn dog -- that he's gonna keep on trying until the zaps get more instantaneous. So, that meant I walked around the house with the remote in my hand, at the ready to push the appropriate button. Real inconvenient. Other brands have belt clips or the lanyard attaches to the bottom of the remote, so there are choices out there. Also, FYI, if you get it, you may notice that there is a switch for 3 different settings, for 3 different dogs. I could not find reference anywhere in the instructions as to which setting belonged to the collar that came with the remote. Through trial and error, I discovered it's the black dot. On the plus side, the set seems to be solidly built and of good quality, and, as I said, it does provide the stimulation. Also, the adjustment for the degree of stimulation is easy to reach and has good feedback as you click through the levels.

the color works well for both of my dogs. Love it! My dogs shows good obedience without color, but we use it in case. It is great for dogs who love to swim (just be careful with using "nick"). I would recommend to everyone to take a class with instructor at dog training school. We had class how to use the color with our dogs.
