Avantree Aria 90C - Add-On Headphones for Opera TV Set - NOT Compatible with Opera Plus, No Charging Dock Included

Avantree Aria 90C (purchase 2/20/2023; reviewed on 4/12/2023) Avantree Aria 90C (update 5/15/2024) My wife uses the Avantree Aria 90C daily; it may be one of the best gifts I have ever given her. She loves it; she has some hearing loss, and with the Aria 90C, she does dishes, or cooks while listening to her TV shows or podcasts, and she is a happy lady. Note: The Aria 90C is paired with the Avantree Oasis Plus Bluetooth transmitter and receiver for TV, so both are working great. We have tried several ear buds, and inexpensive corded headphones, but she didn't like them. The Aria 90c passed the "happy wife" test. She loves the look, the feel, the sound quality, and the ease with which they connect with the Oasis TX/RX unit. Previous headphones I had to ask her to use, which most of the time she wouldn't. The Aria 90s I don't have to ask she uses them because they do what a good TV Bluetooth headphone should do. She listens to TV news now while cooking; the TV is viewable but in the family room, so the receiving distance is good. When sitting on the couch with about 3 feet between us, I can talk but she can't hear me while listening to TV, so external noise isolation is good. (Note the Aria 90c does not have "noise cancellation"; instead, the material/pad that seals the headphone on or over your ear provides isolation, and the Aria 90c have a comfortable thickness and seal tightness for proper sound isolation.) l Voice / Lip sync is usually good with the aptX HD technology. However, since we cut the cord from cable TV and now view all movies and TV shows via streaming services, there are times the voice-lip sync might be off slightly. The weight and shape are not heavy or bulky, and the streamlined appearance looks good and sort of modern. I mentioned connecting to the Avantree Oasis TX/RX unit already, all she does is make sure her Aria 90c are turned off, switch on the Oasis box, then turn on the Aria 90c headphones, and they connect immediately. I listen with ear buds, and the Oasis can handle two Bluetooth listening devices. The battery charge has been good, she plugs the charging cable in before bed. I would recommend the Aria 90c Bluetooth Headphones. The price is low for what you get. A word about Avantree customer service. I called with a question, and the time and help I received was great. It's nice to buy a product that you can call and get help when you need it. *I paid for the Aria 90c with my own money at full price.

What I wanted was a set of two headphones and a low-latency transmitter so my wife and I could watch TV/movies independently or together, but at our personal sound levels. The newly reengineered AS90C headphones have met our goals. It took several attempts to meet our goals, but I stuck with Avantree and they came through in the end. First, I want to commend the EXCELLENT customer support I received during the months it took to address the initial issues. I can honestly say I have never experienced such consistent, thorough, and truly helpful support. First, we purchased the Avantree Aria Podio Wireless Noise Cancelling Headphones with Charging Dock Base. Although the individual headphones worked great, when used together there was consistent crackling in one pair, even after a firmware update. So Avantree sent me a new pair, but I experienced the same problem. I returned those and purchased the Avantree Opera Wireless Headphones system which contain the AS90C headphones. Although these headphones didn't produce crackling when used together, it was cumbersome - at best- to use both independently. The reason: to use headphones #2, required that you first turned on headphones #1, then turn on headphones #2, then turn off headphones #1. What I have since learned, is that many BT headphones have some sort of issues when trying to use more than one. It appears that Avantree was aware of this customer concern, because when I contacted customer support again I was informed that a newly designed AS90C was being released which fixed this issue. The Avantree customer support personally tested the new design, then sent me a new pair. Those worked perfectly! My wife and I can now use one or both headphones independently or simultaneously and get high quality, low-latency audio, while walking throughout the entire house. During all this, we also changed out our transmitter. We had been using the Avantree Avantree Oasis Plus. But I have two other BT sound bars in the house, so whenever we had to re-pair the initial two sets of headphones to test or attempt to fix crackling issues, the Oasis Plus would automatically pair with one or both of the sound bars, unless I turned them off first, which was a hassle. So we replaced the Oasis with the Avantree Orbit which contains a screen to see/control which BT device you want to pair with. Although our latest (and final) re-engineered AS90C's haven't required a re-pairing, I enjoy being able to see what I'm doing while using the Orbit. Bottom Line: Avantree products and Support are great.

Comfortable fit with very little lag time. I bought the second headphone set. It does not connect to Bluetooth on a consistent basis. This is not a big problem and is easy to sync. The sound is good but the only negative is that it doesn't have good adjustments for the hearing impaired. There are only 3 options and even in the voice setting there is too much bass. It would be nice if there was an actual adjustment where a person could adjust the highs and lows to meet their needs. They claim they are for the hard of hearing and most people with hearing loss it is in the high range that they need a boost. I also have a Bluetooth adapter that directly connects to my hearing aids with much better results. I have yet to find a Bluetooth set of headphones that has a good set of adjustments. As far as Bluetooth headphones goes I would recommend this set. It is better than most on the market at this price and lag time with the picture is very good.

When my husband’s headphone broke, I a replacement because we like it so much. I had trouble pairing the new headphone with the double headphone charger we had. I called Avantree and spoke with Janice. She told me I did not have to pay for a new one because their product had a warranty and she would send a replacement at no cost. It arrived and works beautifully. Janice is exceptional in customer service and I highly recommend this company and product.

I did like the head phone , cheap plastic. As I’m am hard of hearing I wear the head phones most everyday. I have taken great care as these headphones have cracked and broken always in the right side . I have bought three pairs . I’ve have fluted tap but these headphones plastic are cheap . 60$ for each

I bought the 2nd headset because sometimes family members are over and we can listen and watch a TV show without disturbing others. This one, for some reason, broke where the earpiece is. I returned it and the Avantree people were very helpful in the process. The support person told me what I had to do to return it and receive a replacement; I can't say enough good things about the support person. The 2nd headset is working fine. The sound is fantastic and I like that I can either tune it to "verbal" sounds or music. There is actually a difference in the sound. I would certainly recommend this headset.

Followed directions and connected to TV. Headphones would not charge, unsure if it was me or the equipment I ordered another set of headphones that charge just fine. Now the product works as advertised. Looks like I will be trying to get a refund or another working set of headphones from the company.

Thank you so much. I can finally hear the TV and am not constantly asking my spouse "what did they say". These ear muffs were easy to sync with my TV. They stay charged for days. They are comfortable. The only negative is that you cannot hear anything else going on in the house when you have them on, which is probably okay because they are DESIGNED to wear for TV viewing. I am very happy with these.

Das Problem kann man technisch lösen.

I bought this second headphone to add onto my existing Aventree base. This allows both my wife and I to listen to the TV later in the evening without disturbing our neighbours. This set has excellent sound quality with three sound options. I connected the base with the optic cable option. There is no sound delay with the TV audio. I am very pleased with these headphones and would certainly recommend them.
