We ordered two grind plates for our LEM grinder and returned this one...not because of fault...just because we didn't need holes this small. It wit our machine and I'me certain it would have worked beautifully.

As described

I bought an old rusty meat grinder at a church fair. The lady almost gave it to me in two pieces just to get rid of it. The first thing that I did was to give it a good spray of WD40 all over. The bolt that held it together was rusted in place but thanks to WD40 I was able to get it to move. I washed the grinding half with Dawn and allowed it to dry completely before spraying it with a coat of canola oil, letting it sit for an hour, then wiping off the excess. Lucky for me the blade had been replaced before the last owner put it way. The original plate was corroded so I decided to buy a new one. This plate fit perfectly. I was so relieved. I gave the grinder a try and it worked like brand new. I am so happy that the new #8 plate fit the old time #8 grinder. :-)

This plate makes good hamburger and summer sausage. Holes are large enough that the meat is tender with only one grinding. Venison and beef fat run through it---yummy.

LEM has a more expensive option made of better steel if you are looking for something better. This is a standard replacement plate.
