Totally worth it!
Overview: I agonized over this investment, so I really wanted to share my findings. I don't usually buy expensive shoes. These were totally worth it. They feel great. No more pain & irritation from unsupported arches. And, best of all they fit my "special feet" perfectly! (read on for details.) I bought Oofos recovery slip-ons almost a year ago, and I wear them all the time and love them. My feet no longer get tired and sore on the concrete floors at Costco even when I'm there for hours, or on the hard LPV at home. I can't really run in them, but I will wear them with socks for long walks (over 5 miles) since they are the only thing that doesn't leave my feet sore & tired. I know- tacky right! Socks & sandals! I'm not really a fashion person. HOWEVER, we are going to Paris. You can get away with socks & sandals in the US. But in Paris? I agonized over which Oofos style shoe to try, and my research revealed that it doesn't really matter. They all use the same basic comfort technology. Even the Omg mega ones that came out with the thicker soles (per reviews) feel about the same. Special feet: I usually buy men's shoes because me feet are wide. Well, one is. I had two bunion surgeries. One was over-corrected (narrow foot with unsupported frontal arch) and the other was under-corrected (wide foot with a sensitive medium-sized bunion still). So, I usually buy men's shoes that are wide enough for comfort and don't move around too much on my narrower foot. But, I liked the style and price point of these women's oofos. Reviews were all over about width, so I just figured I'd try. IT FITS BOTH FEET PERFECTLY!! The uppers on these are far more breathable, flexible, and elastic than I expected. They give my feet a gentle hug, but also readily conform to the shape of my foot without any sense of tightness or rubbing. My wide foot is a little wider than the base of the shoe which my husband pointed out, but it does not FEEL wider. The cupped shape of the base provides perfect support. And I didn't really understand the strip that goes over the top of the shoe. I thought it was for style. It is actually a VITAL part of the structural support of the shoe. It is not fabric. It holds the base of the shoe on firmly but gently. The material feels "rubbery" and soft, similar to the material in their recovery sandals. And by distributing very gentle pressure across the top of the foot in a way that does not hit any sensitive places, it seems to take even more pressure off the bottom of the foot and gives the shoes a "grip" that keeps it in place and feels so good. Also, they clean up beautifully. The FIRST day I was trying these on from Amazon in my house, I decided to wear them standing in my kitchen making bread for a couple hours since that is when my feet usually hurt the most. I happened to drop a bowl of melted butter & honey all over the kitchen, including on the shoes. This was BEFORE the attached photos. I imagined there would be a little left-over grease stain. But, these washed perfectly and VERY easily by hand with a little dawn & warm water. And they dried quickly (a big deal for traveling shoes. You can't always wait a day for sneakers to dry when they get wet if you're in Europe & you only brought one pair.) I am in love with them & will definitely buy again if these ever wear out!

Perfect
I have had a very hard time finding an athletic shoe with an adequate arch support. I have fallen arches, and RA, so I'm a challenge. I have Oofo flip flops, and they have been very good to my feet. Some reviewers said these have a big toe box, and the Oofo people said that all their footwear had the same foot bed. THAT'S what sold me. We bit the bullet and spent way more than planned. I wear a 7 1/2, so I ordered an 8. The fabric the body of the shoe is made of is stretchy and not confining. My foot slid right into place and when I stood up, that same wonderful foot bed hugged the bottom of my arch! YaY! But the little toe on my left foot is rubbing. The right one isn't. My husband measured and the left toe box is 1/8 inch narrower than the right. Just enough to matter. The right one has enough room. If I got a bigger size, the whole of both shoes would be too big. I'm hoping the company will exchange for another pair because the rest of the shoe is heaven. They also look good. To sum it up, I do recommend this shoe if you're looking for a high, yet comfortable arch support. I also recommend getting a half size bigger.

What a GREAT shoe! True to size and lightweight.
First of all, I have THE WORST heel and ankle issues. I have wider feet and always have. I vacillate between a size 8.5 and 9 normally, and I have a pair of OOFOS flip flops in 9 that I wear around the house that fit amazingly well and feel AWESOME on my weirdly painful feet. (Yes, it is true - I cannot even walk barefoot at home because of foot pain.) So, I bought these in a 9 after knowing I wanted that same amazing OOFOS comfort/foot bed, but I live in Cleveland and will need close-toed shoes to leave the house very soon! I wore these for the first time on Saturday when I took my uber-picky daughter shopping for a homecoming dress. We were at the mall for probably 5 hours - walking and standing the entire time, and then to the grocery store for another hour and a half. These shoes were amazing the entire time. No plantar fasciitis pain AT ALL. Toe box is an ample size so my toes were not crammed into the shoe. Arch hit just right - heel cup was like walking on a cloud. All in all, quite an amazing shoe! I see the comments about being too small/too narrow - I did not experience that at all. I also saw the complaints about the green tag rubbing the ankle wrong. I wore low ankle (not no-show) socks and I did not experience that rubbing, either. In fact, I tucked the tabs in because the bright green was killing my OSU shirt mojo - and they stayed tucked in. Either tucked in or sticking out - neither say rubbed my ankle at all. BY FAR the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned - and I have spent THOUSANDS of dollars looking for a shoe that could sustain me walking/standing all day. Found it! Worth every penny. ๐

Not like the flip-flops!
I love the Oofos flip-flops, and am on my third pair. When I needed a good pair of work shoes for my standing job, I specifically wanted this brand. I mulled over all of the reviews and decided to give them a chance. They work better than my current Sketchers memory foam, tennis shoes and are very comfortable. They do have a high arch in them but I like that. but they are not nearly as comfortable and supportive as the flip-flops that Iโve had for years. They felt a little weird for the first day I wore them, but but now I have acclimated to them and they feel fine. I would go a half size up. I wear a 7 1/2 and the eights were perfect. The shoe itself is light and comfortable. Update - I washed them and put them in the dryer and they shrank considerably in the toe area. So if you need to wash them I recommend air drying. I am hoping they stretch back out. But are still comfortable and in good shape for all the walking I do on them for work.

Wonderful! Supportive! More Active!!
I have been wearing thrse everyday for a month and they're going strong. I am plus size with neuropathy, balance issues, nearing the need of a big toe joint replacement and have had neuromas removed from the ball of my foot. I will be ordering more pairs. My feet feel better and I am able to do more without pain. I had been wearing a competitive brand for years and Oofos is far and away the better shoe. These run a tad small. Usually an 11 I ordered an 11 W and may order the 12 next time to allow for thicker socks.

Love them but they don't last
I found these shoes to be very comfortable. No breaking in period necessary and they are perfect for my arches, which require a lot of support to avoid pronation. Unfortunately, they don't last as long as I would expect for such a high priced shoe. I've had mine for six months and the where the sole meets the upper at the toe box is really showing wear. They haven't cracked yet but I expect it to any day now. They've also loosened a ton since I bought them. Since there are no laces, it's impossible to tighten them back to what was ideal. I've had to add sole inserts just to tighten up the fit and my foot still slips around in them a lot. It was a great shoe for about a month or two. Perhaps if you only plan to wear them for a few minutes after a hard run, they'll last longer. Otherwise, they are too pricey IMO.

Got rid of my foot pain!
I work as a preschool teacher, so Iโm on my feet 8 hours a day on a very hard floor. For a month, Iโve had an inflamed ligament in my foot that hasnโt improved at all. One week after wearing these at work and around the house, Iโve had minimal discomfort this morning! My feet are still sore after work, but not nearly as bad. I have a slipped disc in my lower back, and theyโve really helped that pain as well. I will be ordering the sandals for wear around the house and another pair of these for weekends. As far as the fit goes, if you have wide feet, they may not be comfortable. I have very narrow feet and they almost fit my width perfectly. So they are a little less than โaverage โ width. I could see the strap on top causing issues if you struggle with edema. It appears elastic in the photo, but itโs actually rubber that doesnโt stretch much. Iโd also recommend wearing them around the house for a day or two before using them as a work shoe because they really feel different than any other shoe. You may feel like youโre going to lose your balance, but itโs because youโre walking on a cloud!

I love OOFOS - I do not love these shoes
It KILLS me to write this, because I have been singing OOFOS' praises for years. I swear I have encouraged at least 25 people to buy their flip flops. I have had these shoes for 3 months - I bought them because I am obsessed with their flip flops/sandals as they have basically cured my horrible plantar fasciitis. I wanted to be able to do a bit more walking, and the flip flops (while great) aren't awesome for long walks. I saved up for a while to be able to justify these because, let's be honest - it hurts to spend $60 on the (clearly injectable-foam-molded) flip flops, let alone double the price on pretty ugly shoes. But I did it. I have worn these maybe 5 times total, only used them to walk on paved easy trails, maybe clocking a total of under 10 miles over the course of a few hikes. As you can see, they look terrible. The soles are pitted and already disintegrating. The edges of the foam are showing permanent compression lines. They feel like they have no support already. The design of the shoe is also confusing - the band across the top is in a strange place and offers no support and no real aesthetic value. The back green tabs have given me heel blisters (solved by wearing higher socks), and they are both too wide and too narrow in the tip! It's like they were designed by someone who has never worn shoes before. Honestly, if these were $35, I wouldn't be complaining. It would be a case of "you get what you pay for" and we'd all move on with our lives. But for $120, I expected to be wow'd and never want to take them off. But even THEN, I could overlook how hideous they are and the price even, IF they actually felt like they were well-made durable shoes. But they do not. If you want a great pair of walking shoes, and you're about to spend this kind of money on them, skip OOFOS and get Oboz.
