Solves unique mounting issues...May work great!! Or not so well.... - UPDATED
This mount can be VERY useful to solve unique mounting issues...with some caveats as others have noted.... The GOOD to GREAT: Used this mount to fix an HP branded 27" monitor to a Dell-specific 27" stand. As you look at OEM-specific stands, they are generally similar, with the difference being mounting bolt patterns and spacing on the monitor mounting heads...not VESA, but kind-of similar. Typically these are flat metal plates with a variety of holes, tabs, and slots that line up with the specific quick-release mounting plate pattern on the back of their own screens. * I had an extra Dell 27" stand, and using a standard VESA plate as a pattern, I found 2 top holes that lined up with the top 2 holes of a 75mm VESA mount. (Yes you do need to remove the trim plate(s) and remove the center screws that hold the plate to the mounting base top/tilt plate.) I marked 2 additional spots from the 75mm spacing, and and then drilled out, now having 4 holes that matched VESA mount spacing, at 75mm. * Different vendor OEM plates may require some fudging with 75mm and/or 100mm spacing until you can find or create holes that allow fixing of the Vivo VESA mounting adapter "back" plate. * I took off the square plastic Dell trim from the top of the stand, but was able to leave the small circular trim that covers the top tilt plate and spring tension mechanism. * Before reassembling, I sprayed the back of the top plate with some leftover paint, so that it wasn't bare metal...not necessary, but a nicer look. The MEH to MAD: As others have noted there are some manufacturing or quality type issues. Mine was opposite of other reviewers, in that the mounting and VESA adpater plates were so tight I had to use a hammer to initially separate. I tried to bend the grooves and plate around to loosen the fit, but does not easily or reliably release to allow removing the monitor. Once I fully mounted, it essentially froze tight again. It's not the biggest issue, and better than being loose and wobbly, but I would like the option to remove the screen from the stand as intended. Not a deal breaker. But a little discouraging, and reason for 4-star review. This mount is soooo close, but does enough to make it a really useful option for some unusual mounting situations. It's definitely worth trying to see if it works for your needs. ******************************************************************************* UPDATE 5/29/25: Despite the issues with the first mount, I purchased 2 additional, for a total of 3. Neither of the newer ones had the binding problem, and appear to cleanly release. I'm upgrading my review to 5 stars. Have now adapted a 2nd Dell stand (24") that required re-drilling all 4 holes for proper alignment/attachment. And, also an older Samsung stand (early 2000s 20.4" 204B)...all 4 holes in the metal bracket aligned with the 100mm holes, and just had to drill out the plastic trim behind the metal mount. VERY useful mounting bracket. Definitely try if you need to mount unlike monitors without buying a new VESA stand.

Great time saver if you set up and break down TVs on stands!
We ship TVs and stands around the country for conferences. It was always a hassle to have to hold the tv with one arm and fidget screws into the back without cross threading them or dropping the monitor. A second person makes it a little easier, but still a hassle. We had to remove the standard pedestal mounts each time as they have wings that protrude from the back to connect to the stand. When packing them up, the wings push against the edge of the box, so it had to be removed so it wouldn't risk putting too much pressure against the TV and breaking it. Enter this kit. The big plate screws to the TV. The smaller plate attaches to the stand plate that previously had to be screwed to the tv. The pplate is threaded which made it easy to attach to the stand; no nuts and washers needed. The plate fastened to the tv is almost completely flat so it can be left on them for shipping, which is a great time saver. Now you just snap the tv onto the stand and you're done! To pack up, squeeze the little lever and pop the TV loose and put it into the box. Now I just need to add some quick release pins to the stands so I don't have to use a screwdriver and wrench. Overall it saves a lot of time and reduces stress on the tv fighting with fastening it. Well built and simple!

Worked for my needs
Works great. Sturdy. Easy to use. Purpose: easy attaching/removal of my gaming monitor to a custom vesa floor stand for non permanent usage on couch when main TV is otherwise occupied. Yes, my monitor had a recessed area. No, I did not use the included hardware on the monitor side of things. It does need extenders that work to counter the recess. Plan to probably buy your own monitor spacers if you have a recessed vesa panel. I had some spacers laying around. Otherwise, this fit the bill perfectly. Monitor comes off for storage and floor stand folds up for storage as well.

Re-engineering necessary
I bought this to wall mount a small ten inch security monitor next to my utility room door. The monitor has 75 x 75 VESA spaced holes on the back and all of the inputs face downward. There are two rear firing audio speakers and the controls for everything are located on the front bezel. The monitor is a perfect candidate for wall mounting, the only problem is that most mounts are overkill for something this small. My number one concern was that I wanted it to be as flush to the wall as possible and secondarily that it would lock securely enough that it couldnโt be accidentally bumped off the mount. This one checked all the boxes and came in at a reasonable twelve bucks, which considering the monitor was only eighty bucks was just about right. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR This mount is the utmost in simplicity, and letโs be fair, itโs not really worth any more than it costs. There is a metal back plate that mounts to the wall. You have your choice of two hole positions and there are four holes per position. The front plate just slides into a V-shaped groove and snaps into a spring loaded lever that can be reached with your fingertips from under most monitors. That front plate is drilled for either 75mm or 100mm VESA spacing. There is no swivel, tile, rotate or any other adjustment. WHAT THEY GOT WRONG Let me say first that for the most part this mount is perfect for a small monitor. When you slide it into position it click locks securely and there is no wobble or wiggle, you could not accidentally brush against it and knock it off the wall. What they inexplicably got wrong is that when mounted as shown in my photographs against a wall the tab that youโre supposed to get your finger behind to pull it forward to release the lock is pressed flat against the wall, there is no way you could ever get your finger behind it and there isnโt even enough clearance to fit a knife or credit card behind it. Itโs a good think I tested everything before actually mounting it. THE SOLUTION The obvious solution was to bend the tab forward enough so I could get my finger behind it. But thatโs not as easy as it sounds. The entire product is made from a strong grade of steel that does not bend easily and on top of that there is nothing to grab on to so you can bend it at the right spot. It took a vise and some ingenuity to be able to bend it. But I did and as you can see in the other picture itโs accessible like it should have been from the beginning. SUMMARY If you plant to wall mount a monitor as it clearly states in their product description this product wonโt do that unless you bend that tab as I did. If you plan to use it for other reasons it will probably work fine.

I really like this mount BUT I do wish it felt a BIT more sturdy.
I have used this quick release mount on at least a half dozen different monitors and TVs (up to 32 inches), and their mounting brackets. This mount does what I expect it to do, it allows me to quickly move a screen from one mounting location to another with easy. If I could change anything I would ask that it be even more sturdy than it already is. I'd love to see the slots and mating tabs moved as far as possible to the outer edges of the brackets. As it is right now, the screens feel a BIT wobbly when moved and give the impression that the monitor can be rotated when, indeed, it can not. This is a good design but I think it could be made even better. Don't get me wrong, these do work very well and I will buy more if needed. The brackets fit well together, for most part, and even my 32 inch monitors feel as though they are secured solidly to the mounts I have them on. I've looked at other quick change mounts (there are a lot available) and this one seems to be the best so far. I certainly recommend these to anyone who is interested in a VESA quick change mount.

VIVO VAD2H VESA monitor quick change adaptor: pretty good retrofit, just not built for abuse
Came exactly as described and does exactly what it says it will do. Practically a god send when mounting a large-ish monitor by yourself, or for getting some extra life out of a existing 100x100mm VESA monitor arm, or for applications where the monitor has to be taken down lots. Some people appear to have gotten bum ones but the one I got was basically perfect out of the box with well done cuts, holes, and bends that make for a tight fitment. Included lots of screws, spacers, and washers for different monitors. Worked fine for my Philips 7600 43" 4K 144Hz TV with 200x200mm VESA holes that I'm using as a monitor on a older, but still serviceable, monitor arm with 100x100mm VESA holes. The directions were solid too. One thing to watch out for is that the screws and metal plate are all either made of soft alloy or mild steel at best. So don't put too much stress on them. The good news there is that TV's and monitors from 2020 on wards tend to be very light so this shouldn't be a issue. My 43" TV hardly weighs more than the 32" monitor that it is replacing for instance. Which is around 15lbs. The ~10yr old monitor arm its going on to was built to take around 25lbs if I remember correctly and still seems sturdy enough to do the job! Other thoughts: Be careful tightening the bolts. The adapter plate that goes on the monitor arm is about 1.5-2mm thick and the threading is easy to strip if you decide to really start cranking away on it or use a power driver. The 4 bolts the VESA standard uses, even when screwed in light-ish, will do the job just fine for newer TV's. Something else to watch out for is the adapter will stick out about .75" from the original mounting distance which cause a small but significant cantilever effect that will cause the monitor to droop. I had to tighten my monitor arm up/down pivot point there to stop that from happening. Once I did it was all good. The spring latch feels pretty secure and my monitor will rotate without issue if need be. The black powder coating isn't all the durable but in this application, which is a home office, its fine and I expect will be good for many years there. If you need something that can take abuse, could be used outdoors, or support monitors significantly heavier than 25lbs I wouldn't bother with this. Its just not built for that stuff.

Super addition to DJ/Karaoke setup! Fast, easy, secure.
I don't know what I did without this slick device. Like another recent reviewer, I use this to quickly hang and unhang a monitor for DJ/Karoke gigs. The receiver plate is secured to a standard VESA mount with four screws, and the quick-mount adapter attached to my monitor with another four screws. The monitor + adapter slides down into a V-shaped channel and clicks and locks into place with a spring clip. Simply push the clip lever to unlock and slide the monitor up to remove. I purchased a 2nd kit so I can quickly swap the monitor for an ipad holder if needed. Well worth the price for speed, ease and coolness.

Holes are not VESA-compatible!
Most of this product seems great, but the holes are NOT VESA-compliant. This product should be taken off the market until they redesign it correctly. On the stand side, the hole spacing is wrong. The VESA standard specifies 75mm or 100mm center to center. These holes are drilled at 97 mm center to center. There is no way to attach this to any monitor stand or arm that is VESA-compliant without drilling new holes! Also, the holes appear to have been drilled to be threaded for 4mm machine screws or perhaps #6-32, but are not actually tapped (threaded). So the screws donโt screw in even without attaching it to the stand! The monitor holes are even worse, if thatโs possible. Instead of being 4mm holes, they used 6mm holes. Although the spacing is correct (and would still work even if they had missed the mark by 3mm at that size), it results in the monitor not being held securely, because the screws arenโt nearly as wide as the holes. There is quite literally no way to use this product as shipped, and I have serious questions about whether this could plausibly be a one-off manufacturing mistake, given the nature of the error. My guess is that they made a bad batch and worked around it by drilling oversized holes, but failed to work around it on one part, so *maybe* some of the positive reviews got a unit that had the workaround correctly applied, but what Iโm seeing here is literal junk that should never have been sold to consumers, and should have been melted down for scrap. Thereโs no excuse for selling a VESA quick-release adapter that doesnโt conform to the VESA spec.

Great for portable monitors!
This is just perfect. If you have a portable monitor and want to mount it to a VESA mount but may want to pull it off once in a while? This is what you are looking for. Super easy to pull on and off, super sturdy feeling mechanism.

Works great for now
Works great or monitor arm setup(another quick release monitor didn't include nuts and washers), heard a nice click when putting it on, seems stable. Will update review to 5 stars if my monitor doesn't fall off it within a couple months
