Great for pencils, and pencil crayons, paper can hold water colour, but felts and alcohol paints do bleed through the paper.. size of chart works well for myself but smaller part to write in colour in could do with being bigger.

Expected a4 size. Also wanted room to write full description of pen but there’s no room , it just says theme ???!! So for example - pen name makers name water or alcohol based date purchased . Also how about a few black pages so we can check to see if pen works on them , great for metallics

I WOULD NOT reccomend buying this book at all, firstly, the book is ALOT smaller than I expected. The front covers writing for an example is all blurry… the inside of the pages are SO, SO thin. I’m too scared to even colour and put my swatches in there because of the paper quality. The boxes are honestly tiny, on other people’s picture reviews the boxes look huge, but they aren’t and there’s not enough room to write the whole marker pen code without making the writing tiny and unable to read. Really disappointing to get this if I’m honest. I had high hopes but once again gutted because of it. I’m sending this back the first chance I can get.

As a watercolour artist l was really excited to have this colour chart. The choice of paper is a big part of a watercolourists materials. This book, however, is printed on very ordinary paper which goes transparent and buckles when water is applied. And the printing ink bleeds when wet. These facts make this item worthless, only good for crayons and felt tip pens.

I like using this book for swatching but it would be better spiral bound

Used these for posca pens but the paper is so thin it just goes soggy. Would be fine for pencils n but anything liquid based I would say don't bother.

I wanted to find a book with a lot of swatch boxes. I have at least 130 colored pencils, 150-200 alcohol markers, 150 fine tip markers, and at least 75 gel pens, etc etc. The paper isn’t too thin, but if it’s too thin for you, you can put a piece of paper (I use a sheet protector) to prevent bleed thru. This will probably only happen with alcohol markers. You get a table of contents, page numbers, and a line for naming at the top of each page. There are a total of 2592 BOXES!!! That’s more than enough!! I could only find swatch sheets or books with minimal boxes. I found this and I’m in love. I love how small the book is - it’s very compact and doesn’t take up too much room. As you can see in the photo, the only downside to this book is the binding - this book would have been of better quality and easier to work with if it used rings instead of a fold. I had to bend the pages back to be able to color into the boxes and use the book properly. Because of that, the book won’t completely shut, and the pages fly open.
