A Must-Have for Needlework. Great Product.
This is a great lamp! I needed something for when I do cross stitch & this is perfect. Very sturdy. Can adjust light brightness & color temperature. Magnifying glass/light is on a swivel so can adjust at many angles. Bonus: wheels on base mean I can move it easily

Well made Product a must have!
Wow! This lamp shipped quickly. Very well made.Sturdy and super easy to install! Less than 2 minutes! Highly recommend! I thought about getting the larger one but this is great for my reading and cross stitch! Base is very sturdy and moves freely.

Awesome piece of equipment
Awesome piece of equipment. The base is really heavy so it felt very stable, and the mechanism of the arm is intriguing--it kind of cantilevers itself (not sure if that's the right word) to keep balanced. I am using this lamp to help me see while I add hand stitches to large pieces of artwork. I had previously been holding a lighted magnifier with one hand while stitching with the other, which didn't work too well. With this lamp I don't even have to think about it--I just pull it into place and get to work, with PLENTY of light and magnification even when working with black yarn. If I could suggest any improvements, they would be 1) to add an ability to pivot the pole where it goes into the base (it will pivot now if the bolt holding it gets a little loose but this seems like it might eventually cause a problem), 2) use a slightly different sort of joint where the magnifier connects to the pole--one that could be adjusted and would stay where you put it without having to loosen and tighten a handle, and 3) make the base even heavier so you could pull the arm all the way horizontally without causing wobble in the base connection. These may sound like complaints but really they're not--I love this thing, may get another one for my husband, and feel like the price is VERY reasonable. Who knows, I may be able to take up fly-tying again, a hobby I thought was unworkable with older eyes...

Best Portable Floor Lamp available!
After literally spending hours combing through both Google and then Amazon's "feedback" for LED, magnifying floor lamps, I eventually found this amazing lamp (FYI; always read the most negative FB first). It combined all the features I needed, plus one I never expected (the Kelvin color temperature controls). First, I needed a weighted base floor lamp with a flexible (or adjustable) neck. Unfortunately, all of the other lamps with weighted bases were often not heavy enough to prevent tipping over (according to the FB)... and this lamp had a nicely weighted base WITH WHEELS (how cool is that?!!) Second, the flexible neck. My luck with segmented/flexible necks has never been very good. They have always weakened over time and begin to sag, no longer holding the position you need. This lamp's "parallel bar/spring arm", adjustable neck is far more solidly designed, MUCH stronger, and far more reliable than any flexible neck (holds position perfectly). Also, the head unit maintains the same level position (or whatever position you last left it in) no mater how low or high the head is re-positioned during use. Plus, it will not sag like the segmented necks will over time. Then the 4-3/4" diameter GLASS LENS is far less scratch prone than any acrylic (plastic) lens, allowing it to last almost indefinitely. Finally, this lamp's adjustable Kelvin color temperature controls were absolutely awesome! It allows you to control the color from a warm white, for comfortable reading, to a bright cool/high contrast white for intricate parts definition. On top of that, you can also MIX the two color spectrums together to provide whatever color tone will suit your job. All this, and it was still the same price as all the other flexible neck, single color (cool white), flat, weighted base floor lamps... $100 with free shipping. Even the shipping box was done correctly. These guys hit all the requirements of a high quality LED floor lamp perfectly! Great lamp Brightech....

Terrific magnfiying lamp!
Looking for a magnifying lamp that will help while doing hand work such as knitting and embroidery, I purchased the Brightech Lightview Pro. It arrived quickly and well packaged and was simple to assemble. I am very pleased with the lamp - it provides a variety of lighting possibilities and is extremely flexible for adjusting the head for using as a magnifier or simply as a light. Having used a different magnifier light for many years, one of the problems has always been the gathering of dust on the magnifier. The Brightech has a clever plate that flips open and closed so that your magnifier remains clean. The lights stay cool to the touch and the lamp does not generate heat while working. The light is bright and can be changed to warmer or cooler tones depending on your needs. The magnifier, at 1.75x magnification, is plenty for me when I need the help seeing small stitches. I particularly like the rolling base, which adds to the flexibility of the lamp for me - my old lamp had a solid base which made it difficult to move it. With an extendable arm that can be moved into a variety of positions I was concerned that a rolling base might make the lamp unstable, however, the lamp is solid and stable even with the arm fully extended - at no time have I felt that the lamp would tip. The lamp is well made and, frankly, a steal at the price. We are now looking at purchasing another one for my father-in-law who suffers from macular degeneration.

easy to assemble even if you are reduced vision like ...
Actually I rate this a 5-star for the QUALITY of the product, but alas! the magnification did not help my vision at all. I was hoping I'd be able to use it instead of my hand-held 5x/10x magnifying glass to read printed matter, but I could not. It simply did not for me, due to my macular degeneration. What I really need is probably a very expensive 'lighthouse for the blind' magnification screen. BUT if you are looking for a well-designed magnifier on a stand, this is quite elegant. VERY heavy base, easy to assemble even if you are reduced vision like me (I'm magnifying my Win10 screen 900% to type this message & my monitor is 55inch). Shipped fast and well packed. I think it's worth the price, but just not for ppl w very low vision.

Seems to be well built and is substantial.
What a good product! I purchased this light for crafts like needle felting and working with small objects to create paper art. This is a heavy and well built light with rollers, and a magnifying glass too. My husband can use it for working with small parts when he makes repairs. I slide it behind my sofa and itโs not in the way, and I can felt easily and not hit my fingers and can see whatever Iโm working on.

Lampzilla - filled with awesome buttered toasty goodness, but lacks off-road capability.
For some time now I have been using a really crappy fluorescent magnifier that for some strange reason came free with an Arbitrary Function Generator I purchased. It arrived with the screws stripped out, but it was free, and epoxy is cheap. If sufficed until a couple of weeks ago when it took a swan dive off of my workbench. After I stomped on it and kicked it a few times I decided I would be justified in purchasing a replacement (although it does still light up in spite of my best efforts). When I found the Brightech Lightview Pro I thought I had found the perfect light. Boy, was I almost right. First, it is heavy. The base is stable enough to mount a .50 BMG to (except that the wheels don't play well with the recoil unless you like rolling across the room between shots). It has touch sensitive controls that let you make the light brighter, and change the color. And it is a lovely shade of hospital white. That is the good stuff. Bad stuff - The wheels are wimpy. They don't play well with the concrete floor in my workshop. This is not a big issue as long as the lamp stays next to my workbench, but I had hoped to roll it around to different work areas to check CNC output, 3D printer output, welds, PCB etching, etcetera. I can still do that of course, but I am worried that the wheels may not hold up to the wear and tear. Slightly larger urethane wheels would have made this lamp truly amazing. My other wish is for just a bit more light output, but I can live with what it has. So for the most part this appears to be an awesome lamp. If you work in a more pristine environment than I do, I'm sure the wheels will be fine. If, on the other hand, you're going to be rolling over concrete, bits of swarf, dropped screws, solder balls, cats, dogs, and ferrets, it is possible you will find the wheels are not fully up to the task. Time will tell. Bottom Line: Buy it, it is much nicer than any of the other lamps that have passed across my workbench on the way to their early demise, with the added benefit of not taking up any room on the bench itself.
