The I LOVE YOU Book

I read this book with my husband and my two children every single night as the last book before bed. We read the “I love you when we are cuddled up close” page twice and all hug. It’s the sweetest and cutest effing thing ever and often the most tender and pure part of my day. I think it’s grounding for them but my god it is SO grounding and special for me. I know that this is one of those little traditions I will cherish and remember forever. Get this book and start your own.

As an early childhood teacher, I have many Todd Parr books in my classroom collection. They are versatile, colorful, non-judgmental, and child-friendly while encompassing big topics and issues. It's only natural as my husband and I await the birth of our twin sons, that I should want to begin an at-home library collection complete with Todd Parr works. This particular book was purchased as a set of first Father's Day books to my husband (who is a children's librarian) in hopes that he and the boys will be able to read and share it together. It's message is a big one for unconditional love, but per usual Todd Parr, it's conveyed with bright and simple illustrations and very straightforward language.

I have a list on Amazon of "best baby gifts." It's full of brands I've liked, products that have been absolutely INDISPENSABLE in the first couple of years for my kiddo, books that we loved, etc. Todd Parr is ALL OVER the list. His books are colorful, and silly, and so much fun for little ones to read. On top of it, they're also sweet, and encourage love, empathy, and caring. With all of the messages our kids are surrounded with everyday, it's always nice to find a book that reaffirms just how special they are, how important they are, and how important love in the world is.

We love this series. The graphics are appealing, the quality of the production is excellent, and the "important messages" are well-written. We've bought several, and we intend to buy more for our grand daughter. Very positive and reinforcing! Though she's only a year old, this book (and others from the series) will be read to (and with!) her for years. I suspect that within the next year, she'll be reading them to everyone around her (from memory, of course), as all children tend to do.

My toddler has been living through a difficult divorce, and I have been doing everything I can to make him feel loved and wanted despite what's going on around him. My therapist recommended Todd Par and I am SO glad that I took her up on it! His books are all amazing and the simple, colorful pictures really appeal to my two year old. He tackles big issues in easily digestible, kid friendly chunks. The 'I love you' book has become a staple read in our house.

Want to try to read a book to your favourite infant/toddler whilst choking back tears? Try this book. Both witty and sentimental, it literally made me laugh and made me cry. Great illustrations, great examples of ‘unconditional love’.

I love this book. I didn’t read the full description, so it was a surprise that it was a smaller board book vs the size of the one my daughter has, my fault! BUT, it is for a baby shower book-instead-of-card, and my daughter loved it and I used to read it to her every night. My favorite memory is from when she was about 2 1/2, and she read it back to me (from memory, obviously not actually her reading it). It’s full of very colorful kid friendly artwork also.

We love Todd parr books! This book is amazing for newly turned toddlers to understand and joy. Illustration draws the attention of little ones. Great for social emotional development. I’ve read a couple reviews that do mention that they received damage upon arrival book…Unfortunately, we also received a “new” damaged book. Which is disappointing if we’re paying for a new book option on here.

I do wish that they would put the sizes of the books! This one is only 15x15cm which was quite disappointing for me, as I need the books for my storytelling in nurseries :( - The cover also came damaged with a tear in the beautiful heart on the front-cover, so, I'll see what the process is on sending it back for a re-placement. But having said all that, I love all the Todd Parr books, so colourful and full of positivity and self esteem for kids from an young age. The 5 books that I ordered were delivered quite quickly, and the other ones were the perfect size approx. 25x25cm :) Sherry

This book arrived today. Ive read it about 6 times already at the request of my daughter. She loves it and can already read it herself. Lovely message easily accessible to children with great illustrations. I'll be buying again.

Nos enfants ont toujours adoré les histoires de Todd Parr. La collection s'agrandit avec celui-ci. Ma fille n'a pas encore 2 ans et si elle doit choisir un livre de la bibliothèque c'est vers ceux-là qu'elle ira !
