Yes. I think it is about 50-52" long. It is long enough that the purse will be hip length on me without extending it all the way and I'm 5'8."

What is the depth of this purse?

I don't have it here now but it is a great purse about 7-9 inches deep (maybe a little more). Sorry could not be more helpful

Will an ipad fit inside?

The tote is only 9 1/2" by 9 1/2" . My wife's surface will not fit but an I-pad might if it is equal to or smaller than these dimensions.
