I have a Gigabyte AX370 K5 Motherboard I bricked while trying to update the bios, to allow me to use a ryzen 3600. The steps for this device is pretty straight forward, here are my recommendations. Firstly, take a picture or write down your BIOS chip identifier. Its a tiny chip on your motherboard so youll have to zoom in with a camera, this is necessary for later. Start with Software/Drivers: 1) Download from the CH341A driver package and run DRVSETUP64.exe 2) Download NeoProgrammer 3) Download BIOS file 4) Open Neoprogrammer Next, Hardware - 1) Plug the ribbon cable to the 8pin connector, then plug 8 pin connector onto USB. (There are many YT vids out there that will teach you how to plug it into the correct slots) 2) Connect ribbon onto Motherboard bios chip, make you have the placement correct for both red ribbon as well as making sure its properly secured (my motherboard showed only one lit LED when not properly connected, it then showed 2 LEDs when properly connected) Then in NeoProgrammer - 1) Click IC menu at the top of window, click search and type in your bios/chip identifier then select the the correct one that matches yours ( first thing i mentioned to do, mine for example was MX25U12873F) 2) Read IC - it just reads the current bios and if its correct itll say success at the bottom in green. 3) Delete IC (only if you got the green success from reading it first) 4) Open File selector, select the bios you want (if it doesnt show up, make sure that you can select ANY file type by selecting "Files (*.*)") 5) Write IC 6) Verify IC and youre done - took me about 2-3 hours of understanding looking up tutorials, hopefully itll take you under an hour.

Ordered this product to reflash the bios on a ThinkCentre I got from the thrift store that had a custom bios preventing it from booting into other OS's. After quite a bit of research, I got the driver installed, software installed, bios chip clipped, and got it reflashed. Was kind of concerned when I first plugged it in and it wouldn't turn on, but after a CMOS reset, it was good as new. Would highly recommend, but you really need to know what you are doing before you go and try to use this tool.

Tried for hours to unbrick hp bios locked laptop. Could never get it to talk to it.

Worked great after installing drivers and loading programming SW. You need 2 Driver packages for Win11 CH341SER.EXE and CH341PAR.EXE. I used AS Programmer to reflash Car Radio EPROM without any issues. The SOP8 Clamp is a bit flimsy but worked after few tries to set it right on top of the IC on the board. If you are not familiar how to do it, you need to read and watch few videos, otherwise it can get thrustraiting quickly as process may ot be very intuitive setting up the adapter and SW. There is NO reference information with adapter as shipped, but for cheap price, its OK you can find all you need online now. Again, all worked with free SW and Drivers that had to be located on web. I have no idea if this thing is compatible with MAC.

Doesnt work for incompatible (small)bios chips. So I switched to android.Windows PCs cannot be fixed why waste your time they do not even sell the proper tools to even begin

I’ve had nothing but good luck with my programmer I received, but plenty of users report that these programmers will push 5v into the data lines unless you modify the regulator, but I’ve had no issues with it whatsoever as I always remove the IC before reading and writing. Food for thought, but for the price these are super solid programmers.

Used it to flash a thinkpad t470 locked bios. You will need to watch a few youtube videos on how to use it if you never have but this worked great and I had no issues using it. You will need software called AsProgrammer to use it as there is no software included. Also, don't worry about the 5v thing, people have hooked this up to chips and then read it with multi-meter and it shows 3v so don't worry about this frying a chip.

This chip programmer works very well but it's very hard to set up because you're left on your own to find the drivers and software. As this is a generic product, there are many different drivers and software packages available online but not all of them will work with this programmer.

Pude revivir mi RX 560 que compre en Aliexpress, venia con una bios de mineria que para gaming era inestable,busque en internet y encontre una bios que era similar a la de mineria pero funcionaba casi sin ningun problema. Un dia decidi buscar otras bios que tuvieran frecuencias mas altas (Que estaban en lo que soportaba la gpu de serie) pero algunas bios igual no eran muy estables y si bien jugando no tenia crasheos, a la hora de estar en idle la gpu (Sin uso, solo en el escritorio) si se reiniciaba la pc. Entonces un dia encontre unaa bios que al parecer era la verdadera original pprque era una version china de la bios, asi como la mia que era xfx version china y al momento de instalar esta bios y reiniciar la PC ya no dio video, aundado a esto al segundo reinicio que le doy, ya me habia pasado con otras bios que tenia que reiniciar varias veces para que la mother la configurara. Pues tambien prove una una fuente de poder que estaba en corto. Mato mi PC. Tiempo despues compre mi nueva PC pero los precios de GPUs ya eran incomprables para mi. Mirando en youtube como revivian GPUs me anime a comprar este aparato ya que lo ultimo que hice fue el cambio de bios y con mi nueva PC cuando la conectava e iniciaba con los graficos integrados no aparecia en administracion de dispositivos. Como alguna vez me paso que no daba video pero si la detectaba windows g con un programa y el CMD le instalaba el bios que yo ya saabia que me funcionaba. Pues si, a pesar de que todo indicaba que ya estaba muerta de algun circuito o por la bios trucha china, flashee la GPU, buscando cual era el chip que tenia que conectarla lo hice, el prograama leyo la bios. Borre e instale la bios buena y vaya, dio video. Intente lo mismo con una 570 pero esta si esta quemada de alguna memoria u otra cosa prende la gpu y luego luego los ventiladore se ponen a girar al 100% no da video y windows no la detecta. No se checar con multimetro asi que ahi la tendre a ver si algun dia aprendo a diagnosticar las gpus
