Far superior to standard ROHO for tailbone pain
Well worth the hefty price for helping a tailbone heal! MUCH better than the regular ROHO for tailbone/coccyx pain/injuryโwe started with that one and had to buy this one for relief. Made it possible to sit without extreme pain! Too bad this wasnโt recommended first. All PTs should be aware of this!

Top quality and top comfort.
This unit is too expensive, but you might find the top quality and comfort worth the price. This product is now over 14 months old for us, and is still in the great shape and comfort as it was brand new. Perfect for those with healing bed sores.

It is expensive, but worth it.
My husband was in the hospital for 2 weeks and then a skilled nursing center for 4 weeks. When he was released he had a very painful bed sore. A home health care nurse told us to purchase this cushion. It has really helped my husband with the pain. It fits both his recliner and wheelchair.

Must have for people that require wheelchairs
Great for people that are wheelchair bound and get pressure wounds. Easy to divert air into the different chambers to alleviate pressure on wound area.

very good cushion. Wish I had bought one sooner
Updated 10/23/2024 Still loving the cushion, just added some notes from my several years of experience. I would have avoided a sore and so many health problems if I had switched sooner. I had a Jay gel cushion for 30 years and never had any skin problems so I thought I was good. Well, with age, needs change. I didn't. Now I have a hole that will require surgery. The "balloons" that make up the seat are thin, so it's easy on the skin, but it's thin, which means it can be easy to puncture, say if you have cats, for example, or a parrot, like I do, their sharp claws can puncture it without much difficulty. It does come with a patch kit, which I've used, so it's easy to fix. The trick is finding the puncture, which you can do by inflating the cushion significantly and holding it underwater in the bathtub. I learned to be more aware of things that could puncture it and it's not been a problem since. Anyway, I've had one puncture in 3 years. No other problems since. Also, it will lose air over time, like any inflatable, but it's very easy to add more air with the provided pump. You can't fill it while you are sitting on it, so I over inflate it, get in the chair and slowly let air out a little at a time until it's where I want it. The feature I like the most about this cushion is that the 4 quadrants are separated by a valve, so you can stop the air from flowing away from one corner and into the others. I don't keep the valve closed, because it's more comfortable to allow the air to flow away from one side, if I over to the side, for example, but the presence of the valve slows the air transfer between the 4 sections (slower than the same cushion with no valve), which makes it a little more stable. I'm a quadriplegic, so this helps with my upright stability. anyone who sits in a wheelchair knows that changing a cushion is a major deal, it's not like an able-bodied person who might switch from one chair to another. But I had no problems at all. In fact, the ride in my truck is so much better now that I'm sitting on air. It's much easier to sit for long periods of time as well. The only downside to ANY inflatable cushion is making sure the air pressure is correct. like I said, really regretting not switching sooner. And it's the same price as my previous cushion!
