PetSafe Martingale Quick-Snap Dog Collar, Deep Purple, 3/4 in, Medium

I have been buying this brand and type of collars for years for my mini pinscher dogs. They have slim necks and small heads, and can easily spin or back out of most collars as they are very lively and quick. The Petite size is the only one that fits my breed. The martingale feature keeps the collars secure. These collars are not expensive and have a few advantages over their competitors. #1, they are softer material than most. Minpins have thin skin and will not tolerate a collar with sharp or hard edges. #2, most important to me, is that there is a separate loop as part of the closure where you can attach your dog's tags. I bought a few other brands, and was amazed at how many did NOT include this very necessary feature! I returned them all. #3, they have a quick snap buckle that is easy to use. Others were way too wide or stiff or had to be taken off over their head. I just wish PetSafe would offer the Petite size martingale collars in more colors. Currently they are limited to blue, red, black and purple. How about a nice pink, turquoise or green? Thanks for making a great product!

This has been a great collar for our dog. The only thing to know is that plastic becomes brittle, so the buckle will eventually fail. We found this out when we were camping and a deer came to visit and our dog tried to chase it, and when he reached the end of his tie out, the buckle broke and he was able to chase the deer across the campground. The collar was 5 years old, so it was probably time to replace. The price point is excellent, so we'll just start replacing the collar yearly.

Nice little collar but it was way too big for my Chug. Returned it.

I have three Italian Greyhounds. Like their full-sized relatives, they have slender necks and streamlined heads. Regular collars are easy for them to slip out of so martingale collars are recommended. The downside of regular martingale collars is that there is no breakaway feature in the event that one of the playful pups gets snagged on something. This can be dangerous. Enter these tiny PetSafe martingale collars. The quality is that of the full-sized collars in a smaller package. They adjust to sizes most collars don't (really small!) and don't slip and become larger over time. They stay latched but are easy to open in the event of an emergency. I love these collars and highly recommend them for tiny, delicate necks.

I’m new to the dog world and apparently do not understand the sizing of this collar. I purchased it because I read a lot of reviews that said it could help keep my dog from pulling/strangling herself on the leash. I got the smallest size but my dog is only 12 pounds and it is way too big. I put it in the closet waiting to see if she will grow into it. If not, I will give it away. I reduced it by two stars because I feel like my issues should be addressed somewhere in the description in big bold letters! The collar is well-made and the fastenings work well. The color is also nice but it’s not a win for me!

I got this as a backup collar for my puppy because the first collar I got him is a little too big. I love that it has a buckle and the martingale pull, but my favorite part is that it has a separate loop for tags and a leash. The tags jingle way less and he doesn't try to play with them. It's also easier to clip the leash on and off.

Good collar fits my 7 month labrador perfectly. I use this with long line for training, correction to the dog and for walks only.

I ordered the medium size for my small beagle but it seemed big (and I do understand how the martingale should fit). I contacted the company's customer service department via email and, after some back and forth to confirm the problem, they sent a size small, which works for her. (She seems to be on the borderline for sizes and the martingale hoop on the medium size seemed very big for her.) I'm not sure why the medium size based on the chart measurement didn't work for her but they did resolve the problem. We just received the replacement collar and it seems well-made and reasonably priced (as did the original one). I can't speak to durability and sturdiness at this point but the company does stand by its products! Very nice customer service people!

Initially I was happy with the martingale ( purchased a medium size) until my husky was able to slip out of it & ran off. It was a dangerous & stressful situation for my son as my husky could have been kill or seriously injured. Our walking route was next to a busy highway with busy traffics on both side of the road day or night. Our walking route shouldn’t matter if the collar fits nicely and tightly around the neck! The snap on buckle was good as it can be fit around the dog’s neck with ease but it would be BETTER if they can cooperate the design where we can adjust the tightness of the collar. Another martingale in the bin for me😐😔😤

Se lo pusimos a un perrito que resguardamos de la calle y ha sido una maravilla, junto con su adiestramiento esto es lo que mejor le ha acomodado. Con esto ya no puede sacarse cuando jala hacia atrás, de hecho ya dejó de jalar como antes.
