Manic Panic Classic Cream Semi-Permanent Vegan Hair Color, 118ml - BLUE MOON

First and foremost - hair has to be bleached for this colour to show up. I had pink/purple hair and I applied this directly on top once the pink had faded a little. I applied the colour at 5PM and kept it in overnight, washing it off the next day at 10AM. The colour came out super vibrant and stayed on for quite a while (depends on how often you wash your hair. I wash thrice week and the colour stayed bright for one week, and then faded to a really beautiful seafoam green over the next two weeks) The quantity is really good. I have shoulder length hair and I was able to use this bottle to cover my complete head twice! Best way to apply it is using your hands (with gloves). Just massage the colour into the bleached hair. The colour wont show up on dark hair so you dont need to worry about being precise with where you put it. Work in layers and comb your hair vigorously after each layer as this will help even it out (comb till you see a frothy residue on the comb which is several shade lighter than the colour in the box). Keep it on for at least 6-8 hours, preferably overnight (if you want it to last atleast three weeks). Wash it off and use shampoo only on the scalp, if needed. Use conditioner to seal it all in.

I would suggest this product if you want to colour your hair. But, follow these steps: 1) This product is SEMI-PERMANENT, so it won't last for a longer period. 2) If you have black hair, Bleach it once a day until it becomes COMPLETELY BLONDE. I have bleached the front portion for 5 days and then it was ready. Don't forget to wash with shampoo and clear the bleach. you can use conditioner too. 3) Before colouring, Wash your hair with shampoo and dry it completely. DO NOT USE CONDITIONER BEFORE COLOURING! 4) use a band to COVER YOUR FOREHEAD. you can apply petroleum jelly too. And wearing GLOVES is MUST... 5) Apply it with a brush and distribute it UNIFORMLY. I would suggest the brush with comb. amount of colour decides if the result will be light or dark. 6) Keep it for atleast 1.5 - 2 hours for best results. 7) Rinse it with cool/normal water 8) apply a little conditioner and wash. 9) afterwards USE COLOUR PROTECT shampoo & conditioner to reduce the wash-off of colour. **The Colour will last for a plenty of time

I notice a lot of reviews complaining that this product didn't do anything etc. I used it to tone a friend's hair after we bleached it with 40 volume developer. It definitely neutralised the yellow tones in his hair and left it pretty close to platinum blonde. We then went in with Manic Panic Electric Pink Pussycat with fantastic results! Followed the instructions on the box closely. This will NOT work if you have strong yellow tones in your hair after bleaching. Be patient and do another round of bleach, then use this. This will also not work at all for orange tones - you are better off toning those with repeated applications of blue colour / blue shampoo. General rule - purple neutralises yellow; blue neutralizes orange. We applied the toner to hair that had been washed and dried after bleaching. Left it in for around 45 minutes then rinsed out. Make sure you saturate the hair with the toner for best results - it's hard to gauge since it's a pale colour on pale hair but just go in with more than you think you need and you should hit the right amount :D Unfortunately toners like Wella's colour charm series aren't available that easily in India so this is what we need to make do with. But I'd say it does the job if you use it on sufficiently pre-lightened hair, saturate, and leave in for 30-45 minutes.

I had pre lightened my hair to brownish-blonde and kept on the dye for 2 hours but it simply turned my hair very dark brown with NO purple tint. It stained my hands instead. Seriously disappointed.

Worst hair dye to have! Firstly the price isn't worth it for the quantity you get, moreover the color is almost invisible to see. I applied it after having bleach applied to my hair and even than there wasn't any noticeable change, the color kept leaking from my hair, turning everything around me blue except my hairs. Buy at your own risk

Absolutely amazing! I used Manic Panic for the first time and having read reviews about the dye not working, I was a bit cynical but still gave it a try. I have long hair with ombre highlights. In one container, I was able to dye my hair twice. I would suggest you to dye your hair atleast twice for the color to be able to truly show. Would recommend if you're bored with your hair and wanna add a fun twist to them. Go for it!

My hair is unbleached black with a brown undertone and brown highlights. I've never coloured or bleached my hair before. I absolutely loved this hair dye. I applied it on washed dry hair and kept it for about 3 hours. I absolutely loved the result. There is barely any smell to the dye. I've shampooed my hair for about 6 times and the color is still there but fading slowly. Obviously you'd get even better results if you bleach your hair. For people looking to try out hair color for the first time or even if you are looking to keep changing your hair color this is a perfect option.

I bleached my hair to an almost popcorn light yellow over a period of a few days and did the purple wash and everything. Then I used this product to colour my bleached hair. It looked amazing for about 3 weeks but didn't stick very well to my hair. Too much color washes out with every hairwash.. need to be careful to not let the blue flow into your skin while bathing because it turns everything blue! Fingernails will be blue after a hairwash. The colour was beautiful. It looked like a bright lovely stunning electric royal blue during the first 2 weeks but by the end of the third week it started to fade out into a dull, almost sky blue. (I washed my hair 5-6 times during these 3weeks) This product is super great if you need to color your hair for an event or something but you should probably buy one that is more long lasting if you want the colour to be brilliant after 3weeks or more.. if you want a long lasting ink-blue colour for your hair I'd recommend using this and then by the 3rd or 4th week colour it with a purple hair color. The two colours mix to form a beautiful ink blue that lasts upto 2.5 months.

Nice color came out really pretty definitely would do this color again.

NOVEMBRE 2021 (prime due foto) Ho decolorato le lunghezze dal parrucchiere e le ho colorate di blu, ho poi usato Blue Midnight per mantenerle. Scarica un po' e potreste avere del blu sul collo ma va via subito con dell'alcol. Dormite con un asciugamano sul cuscino. È un blu scuro bellissimo e lo consiglio se siete decoloratx, infatti come vedete a me ha preso specialmente sulle punte decolorate. OTTOBRE 2022 (ultime due foto) Stufa del blu provo a scurirne i residui con RAVEN, che ha preso anche sulla mia ricrescita mio castano scuro rendendolo quasi nero freddo. Non spaventatevi se sciacquandolo noterete del viola, il colore è giusto: un bel nero con leggeri riflessi blu mi sembra di notare, specialmente alla luce del sole. Ora, io personalmente lavo poco i capelli e con acqua fredda, quindi se devo dare un parere sì, queste colorazioni sono durature. Va da sé che se avete bisogno di lavare i capelli più spesso di 1-2 volte la settimana e lo fate con acqua calda scaricherà sicuro 🤷🏻‍♀️

Trop peu pigmenté n'a pas tenu sur cheveux décolorés... Et cher pour un si petit contenant...

I've been au naturel grey for several years now but lately have noticed more white creeping in. This product deepens my already grey hair and makes it more interesting - less old-looking - in my opinion, and because it fades after several washes there is no big delineation between coloured hair and new growth. There's no awful smell, either, and because I'm colouring white hair there's no need to bleach first. My hair feels nice and soft after colouring. The first time I used it, I left it on for 40 minutes, the second time for 75 minutes. I got a better colour with 75 minutes. Next time I plan to leave it on for 2 hours. (I'm not recommending this timing for others and everyone should do a patch test and a strand test before initial use as recommended by the manufacturer.) I'm really happy with the product and it's easy to do at home, and that's way cheaper than having the hairdresser do it. I bought a bowl-and-brush set from Amazon, which helps. Have fun!
