Great little bookshelf stereo
I was hesitant about buying reburished but I'm glad I did. Good sound for its size. Remote works well. Loud with not much distortion on high volume This unit has 5 settings on the eq I have mine on rock seems to be the best sound. But that is just me I like to hear a little bass.

Great speakers!
I absolutely love this speaker. When I first got it I didn’t think it worked because I couldn’t figure out the remote. I legit almost returned it, so glad I didn’t though. With the remote you have hit the power button to be able to use the CD player and in order to get to the radio hit the function button once or hit the function button twice in order to use the AUX. thought I’d leave this review because it took me over an hour to figure this out since the speakers do not come with instructions! Hope this helps! But for the price these speakers are worth it!

You Need the Remote
When it first arrived, the box was dirty and damaged slightly, but it didn't bother me at first. My remote didn't come with a battery, which I might be fine with, but you can't change the clock without it. The volume up button doesn't work, only volume down (it's stuck at 0) and the play/pause button doesn't work either. I did end up buying a battery for it (CR 2025) and it works perfectly now. You just can't do anything with it unless you have a working remote.

Very bargain basement
Although we bought this for my 4-year-old's room and we weren't expecting much because it was only $20 it's still lacks even that price point quality. CD player takes an excessively long time to queue up to even the first song or even to the point where you can press play. The speakers are very light and flimsy and fall down on their own even when placed on a level surface. The one plus is that my son did seem to be able to operate it very quickly so there was no real learning curve. If I had to do the purchase again, I would probably go for more of a boombox style setup. Update July 30, 2022 The whole unit died and we had to throw it out. It was barely used and just was a total disappointment. Will be shopping for a better CD player soon.

Just get batteries
After showing my grandmother a few times, she got the hang of the most basic buttons. *There is no battery included with the remote. The battery is, a CR type (common for watches and hearing aids). I think 2025.* Works wonderfully. Fairly clear sound quality (hard to judge with CDs containing 50s and 60s music).

Impressed for refurbished
The sound is better than expected. And the pre-sets on the EQ help out quite a bit. What I did find is the 3.5mm jacks for both the headphones and the AUX are slightly different from the normal spacing on 3.5mm jacks. Headphones you have to jiggle to work and I haven't been able to get the AUX input to work at all.

Very loud and clear works great with remote or buttons on radio
Very loud and clear to hear at medium volume not all the way high but about midways. Have had two of these and they work great. Had my first one for about 5 years. Had it forever. Used lots and took lots of places.

Space saving stereo
I was pleasantly surprised at the good sound quality for this small & inexpensive stereo. I was so happy with it that I just ordered one for my granddaughter.
