Perfect for shop tools
I installed these on my stand up drill press, mine is older and was missing one knob, and the other two were in need of replacement. I had to drill and tap them for my specific size as mine required a larger hole, easy, looks and functions great.

A perfect fit for my application
I used these knobs on an old drill press I’m restoring to use in my shop. I was not to sure about something that was a universal fit but the price is right and the reviews were mostly favorable so I took a chance . The best I can determine is the hole is tapered so that the top of the hole fits the larger studs and the bottom fits the smaller studs. Mine were about 9mm and everything worked great. I did not feel the need to use tools to tighten it up just my hands. I’m sure I could have stripped it out if I wanted to do that but for me I would have had to use pliers. I’m very pleased with the results. The finish is lightly textured which should provide a secure grip and is more a flat black than glossy.

Great solution to replace tool / machine knobs
Used these to replace broken knobs on an old Craftsman drill press. The mounting shafts were 7/16" with a 12 tooth per inch thread. Drilled out the factory hole to 7/16". Slightly heated the threads with a propane torch and screwed the knobs on forming threads as they went on. Worked fantastic, fixed!

Professional/Finished look, but has limitations with fit.
Would be great....but. My photo shows the receiving end. Bought it for Metric M6 and M8. The opening starts at 9.3mm then has 4 lobes that steps it down to 8.5mm. There is a step about 16mm in that steps down to maybe 8mm in diameter and also appears to have 4 lobes that steps that section down to 7.5mm (maybe). If your application is smaller than M9 it has to be more than 16mm to reach. The hole is 31mm deep. There is no threads. Your metal application will cut the threads and/or friction fit. My project had 15mm of M8 threads that came out from a shoulder so it didn’t work.

Worked perfectly for my needs
Could not verify the actual thread on my machine, but this worked perfectly. Screwed in and tightened up fine. Not meant for applications that require a steel or brass thread, but for a hand pull handle, these work great and you get 3 of them. In my case, it is for a manual bottle filler that I use for filling honey bottles and works perfectly

Drill press knob
The instructions didn’t say that one order contained 3 knobs. I needed 2 so I placed an order for 2 and got 2 sets totaling 6. Other than that, they are working fine.

Added knobs with crank grips to the ends of a drill press handle
Like many old Delta models, my radial drill press has a plain metal rod for the downfeed control. The Hillman 55437 Universal Ball Knobs make nice ends for it. I opened the holes in the knobs to 7/16 inch and pressed them on. Drilling and tapping for set screws was easy but really wasn't necessary. I added an uxcell Revolving Handle Grip to one end by drilling and tapping the knob with an 8mm thread, and the tightened handle has just the right thread length to clamp everything to the handle rod.

Absolutely perfect. I needed a new knob for my bolt handle. Found these and figured for the price, why not? Received them just now and had to find out. They threaded onto my handle ( 3/8" -24tpi) perfectly. Notes: there are no threads in the hole. They form as you turn the knob on. The fit is loose enough that you don't need tools, yet more than tight enough that it will probably never back itself off. The surface is as good as you can ask for. Rough enough to prevent slippage, yet it won't wear your hide off. Going to assume that it is slip resistant when wet, feels like it will be. Bonus points: there are three in the box. I can't say for sure how they will fit on smaller diameter threads, another customer said the holes were tapered, I don't see it. You can always send them back, right? Definitely a 5 star product and five star service.

Threaded perfectly on 3/8” x 16 threads. Great price. Received 3, I thought I was getting 1. Great deal. Great product.

I put these on my ryobi drill press after the original plastic knobs fell apart. So far so good they have been on for about a year now and still feel nice and sturdy. They are better than the originals

Good quality knob.

As the title implies. They fit right on the threaded rod for the cute and gear selector rods. The OEM have a threaded metal insert, while these do not have the insert, but screwing these carefully straight onto the rod gives excellent results, for a fraction of the price of one Ariens knob.
