Works well for me. Saves constantly having to plug \unplug devices. Can't comment on surge protection.

Works as I expect and bought it as I wanted to be able to switch off certain plugs while keeping others switch on, useful in areas where you want to keep the wires from a vertical surface conduit/trunking as neat as possible possible near single socket outlets. Yeah am pleased with it and the illumination of the individual switches helps.
