This Ninestars 2-piece automatic trash can combo (13 gallon + 3 gallon) has been a strong, long-term addition to the kitchen and bathroom setup. The motion sensor still works well after years of use, and the touchless opening is genuinely convenient when cooking or cleaning up quickly. The stainless finish has held up nicely and still looks clean with basic care, which helps it blend into the space instead of feeling bulky or dated. Both sizes are practical for everyday use, and the smaller bin is especially useful for tighter spaces. It does go through normal wear over time like most sensor-based products, but overall it’s been dependable and held its value in daily function.

Love, love mine. Both are great and battery life is several months. Fantastic in the kitchen for hands free disposing of things. Lid has been working great unless it needs new batteries then it stops working.

If you have children and a kitchen trashcan, which you should if you have children, you'll likely understand the constant battle that is keeping the wall behind the trashcan clean. It doesn't ever seem to matter what you do, your children are always going to find a way to stick a whole plate of spaghetti to the wall. You can buy a trashcan with a manual lid on it, even one of those fancy trashcans with the pedal, but that lid always seems to magically disappear. So, I decided to give these cans a while in hopes that my wall mgith be granted a reprieve from the constant onslaught of leftover food. So far so good. My wall is clean, my trashcan lid still exists, and my children seem to be delighted that they no longer have to take .5 seconds to lift a lid. I call that a win. The trashcans in this bundle are well constructed as are the lids. They see pretty heavy use in a house with 5 people and are not showing any signs of failure. The lid itself is fairly easy to clean because they are still children and so something is always going to have to be cleaned; as is the can itself. The sensor is sensitive enough to detect when you want to throw something away, but not so sensitive that dust particles keep in opening and closing. I'm also rather fond of the button on the larger of the two cans which allow you to open the lid without the timed shut, and then close the lid when you are done emptying into the can. I was always hesitant to buy an automatic trashcan, largely because of the cost. These cans are well worth the money so far and I am glad I pulled the trigger on buying them

2 for the price of 1. Great bargin. Easy to assemble. C batteries needed. No need to touch the trash can again except to change the bag. Smaller trash can works great in my bathroom. Good size, looks good, sturdy, not noisy but you do hear it open n close.

Big can works great, little can is less sensitive and takes more waving to get to work.

I purchased this in June 2023 and am just now ready to buy it again. I only replaced the batteries once and the only reason I’m purchasing again is because the lid isn’t closing properly anymore. The small trash can still works perfectly, since it’s not opened and closed all day by 5 people. Trash capacity is standard, it contains the smells, it is sturdy and durable. I’m ready to purchase again!

This is the second Ninestars motion sensor trash can set we’ve bought. We had the first one for a number of years and although it still works, it’s not working all the time any more. The newer one has a more easily reached on/off button and it has a sleeker style, but the function remains reliable. We love our motion sensor trash cans and have been known to stand in front of a regular trash can wondering why the stupid thing won’t open. We’re waving our hand over it, for Pete’s sake!!!

The door is not working anymore! It just works for less than a year! Not worth it!

Me encantaron! El pequeño pensé que sería mucho más pequeño y pensaba ponerlo sobre la barra pero tiene muy buen tamaño así que lo puse bajo el lavamanos. Junto con este pedido también compré las pilas C que venían en un paquete de 8, el cesto grande necesita 3 y el chico necesita 2. Fue muy fácil de armar y se ven muy bonitos!

Nunca ha abierto bien la puerta de manera touch. Le he cambiado las pilas varias veces y no funciona porque había tenido otra marca y abría rápido sin problemas. Solo abre a dirás penas pero no cierra para nada. El grande y chico.

oval that holds garbage bag in place is shorter than the 9 year old model this is replacing. might be a weak point but only time will tell. lid slow closes which is nice so you are not trying to race the lid. takes 3 C cells for the large can and 2 Cells for the small.
