Dosing instructions on label for capsules are incomplete, but product is amazing
Dosing instructions for cats and dogs, on the label that comes with the capsule form of BioCase, are incomplete and therefore seriously confusing. The dose for cats was "1/2 - 1 capsule," without reference to the volume of food to which this dose applies. Because instructions ALSO advise to give the supplement with every meal served, I began dosing my animal at the level specified (1/2 - 1 capsule) FOR EVERY MEAL I GAVE. Since my animal is far along into his disease, I feed very small portions of food throughout the day. 36 hours into giving BioCase, results were amazing, in terms of turning around my animal's diarrhea and polyphagia, but my animal started to experience gastric reflux at that point, prompting me to question whether I was dosing properly. Sure enough, I called the manufacturer for clarification, and a representative there conveyed that the 1/2-1 capsule dosage was intended to apply roughly PER CUP OF CANNED FOOD. . .and NOT TO EVERY PORTION SERVED, regardless of portion size. He advised me to find more complete and accurate dosing on the label that goes with the powder form of BioCase. I downloaded that label, did the math, and instantly realized I had been dosing many, many times the recommended amount, once I had the per-cup ratio in hand from the powder-product label. Fortunately, no harm came to my animal, and I quickly switched to the dosing recommended on the labeling I found for the powder. But be careful when you do the conversions, here, because the powder dosing instructions comes in tsps. (of powder) and cups (of food), and you need to figure out how many tsps. of powder are in a capsule, first, if you're not going to empty capsules into measuring spoons each time. . .and THEN you need to determine, if you are feeding from cans, how many cups of food are in each can and portion of can you serve. I came up with about 1/4 tsp. of powder in each capsule, but I get a different number of cups of food per can depending on what canned product I'm serving. Because I find this product to be so effective, I'm hoping that users will, as I did, figure out the correct dosing and proceed accordingly, in order to assure best and safest results. And, hint-hint, PLS, Thomas Labs, create a whole new label for the capsule form of BioCase.

A MIRACLE enzyme!!!
My GSD has chronic pancreatitis and all of the accompanying complications it imparts (diarrhea, gas, pain, vomiting, weight loss, food aversion, etc). Her life seemed so miserable I was having to consider whether it would be kinder to end her suffering, but I decided to try one last thing and this was it - it is a MIRACLE in how well it works!! She is practically a new dog! It took a few weeks and figuring out the exact timing (1 capsule after/right before 2st bite of food/meal, one or 2 immediately after her meal and with any larger snacks - she has about 7-8 a day), but she has solid poop again, minimal gas, no vomiting in over a month, her appetite is back, and she's gaining weight!! She smiles again...it's an astounding improvement and I can't recommend this highly enough if your dog has pancreatic problems! The only downside is that the price has increased 50% from $40 a jar to $60 a jar in the 2 months I've been using it, so I've been forced to look elsewhere where it hasn't gone up so much.

Great for Cats with EPI
My cat suffers from exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) and has to take pancreatic enzymes with porcine. An 8 oz container of powdered porcine enzymes is around $200 from the vet. My backup supply deactived in hot and humid weather and I needed to order a new supply in a hurry. I was relieved to find them on Amazon. This product comes in capsule form. I was really pleased with this product. My cat needs two (2) capsules incubated in his moist food. The price is super reasonable for 60 capsules and I will buy them again. They work really great and my kitty is very happy and healthy.

It works.
Thank God something that finally seems to be helping my senior kitty. I do have to mix it just a little at a time with his food....and add baby food to get him to eat it...but at least there is a major improvement in the litter box. I've used it about a month and so far, things have been considerably better.

Powder better than capsules.
It is expensive, but works for dog. Less expensive than enzymes from vet. The capsules are a pain to use. Not many dogs like pills so l must open 7 or so capsules and mix with food, then wait 15 minutes before letting dog eat. The powder is way more convenient. Was $69 - $75 dollars for cannister of powder. Lately closer to $100 if available.

Has Helped my Skinny Dog with Chronic Pancreatitis Gain Weight
The vet tested my senior dog because she had lost a lot of weight. Said she had chronic pancreatitis but not a pancreatic insufficiency (?), and he didn't understand why I was giving this to her. Well, I continued anyway, and although it's a hassle to have to mix her food and wait 20 minutes she has gained weight even though I have her on a low fat diet. Ran out and she lost weight again, so I got more, the larger size this time. I'm convinced it, and the phytoplankton supplement (super nutritious and bypasses the pancreas entirely) are keeping her alive and doing well!

Stop! Read the servings amount before buying. Not worth the money.
The product works fine. Having said that, this is extremely expensive for what you get. The dosing is 6-7 capsules per serving. There are only 60 capsules in this bottle. So if you feed your dog twice a day like we do, thatโs less than 5 days worth of medicine. For twenty five dollars. Add ten dollars and get the competitors version thatโs just as good but you get 360 servings (6 months).

Great for EPI
My dog has EPI and has been on PancrePlus through the vet. $170 every three months. I tried Bio Case and it work for her medical needs and much less in cost. She's doing very well. In fact, she's feeling great! Very active and poop is normal now.
