Danco 88188 1-1/2-Inch X 1-1/2-Inch Tub Trap,Black

Ordered this to replace a longer p-trap I had under a deeper sink I placed in my camper. I tried the “low profile” p-trap that you can find in here, and that didn’t drain very well at all. I had to shorten my drain a little but this was the PERFECT solution, and now it drains great. The drain was the exact thread I needed to be a direct fit to my drain. Easy install and no leaks!

Recently installed a new, deeper sink in my RV. This left me with very little room for the p-trap in the kitchen cabinet. This one fit perfectly and threaded right up to the basket strainer drain assembly. I have enough clearance to still disassemble it if necessary to clear clogs or retrieve lost jewelry.

While out camping, the shower pipe broke. Duct tape worked good to get us through the trip, but once home, this part fixed me up great! I had to use some existing with some from this package, but all went together fine and no more leaks!

I was in a hurry to get this because the tub drain in my daughter's manufactured home developed a bad leak and local plumbing supply companies didn't carry this part. I ordered it 11/24/23 and the expected delivery was 11/25. Finally showed up 11/27 after I purchased one from another source at a considerably higher price. Worse, the unit from Amazon was missing the gasket for the 2" connection, making it useless. I gave Danco the opportunity to make it right so I would have a spare, and they did--after I followed up when their first promised delivery didn't materialize. It finally came today, 1/4/24, and DOES have the gasket. So, I now have what will be a (hopefully) good spare only six weeks after I needed the item. Not the best experience, but I have to give Danco credit for helping.

I had to replace my bathtub p trap in my mobile home, and I tried doing it with PVC. I finally just googled "mobile home p trap" and found this part. After 3 days of no shower, I finally installed this and now I have a leak free shower!

Very disappointed with the quality of the Danco tub trap. The first one leaked immediately after installation, so I assumed maybe I just got a defective unit and bought another one. Unfortunately, the second one leaked too. At that point it became obvious these are made very cheaply. The plastic feels flimsy and the seals do not seem to fit well enough to prevent leaks. I ended up wasting extra time and money trying to make them work. I would not recommend this product if you want a reliable drain connection.

Fit like better than O.J’s glove… iYKYK…

I confirmed with Draco that this is ABS plastic. They said you can use PVC glue for this, but ABS Black Cement is always better to use with ABS plastic. That's what I used and it worked great.

No surprises, works as intended!

It comes with the rubber band gasket (O-Ring) that avoid leaks from the p-trap, I previously bought the HD, Lowes and Rona p-traps and none of them have it. End-result, those brands p-trap starts slowly leaking overnight. Installed this Danco and problem solved.

The screw on piece was a perfect fit, only part i had to change out was the piece that slides over the sink drain. Local hardware store had that.
