CAP Barbell Doorway Chin Up Bar

I use this daily , I am in the range of 200 lbs weight. Good solid construction!

This is a great deal, very practical, affordable and save me time working out at home, rather than having to leave the house.

As a tension rod it works great 👍 and it can hold a lot of wet clothes... Unfortunately, if you want to use it for working out, make sure it has all the parts. Mine arrived with just the rod and one extra piece (as well as instructions, but I didn't see them in the box for almost a week)... The box had opened in shipment and all of the mounting parts had fallen out. Thankfully, I plan to use it to hold laundry and crafts, so I hadn't planned to screw mount it, but if you plan to use as it's intended please note, it's supposed to be screw mounted into your doorway, and the parts should come in the box..

Easy to install, super sturdy for my body weight (about 180lbs).

Quality made but major design flaw. You twist to tighten it against door frame but then when you grab and do pull up the bar moves and loosens. So you have to be careful not move a lot. Already installed and made a 6 screw hole in door frame. Definitely not recommended

Great materials and overall quality but it's like shower curtain rod that you have to spin to tighten to the door frame. to make matters worse, the grips themselves rotate. There's no way to make it so that it doesn't spin when you hang onto it. If you try to keep your knuckles on top, you will just drop an inch or two. Serious design flaw in these type of pull up bars. I'll have to find one that doesn't do this.

It is exactly what its advertised to be

I bought this to support a grooming sling for my 12 lb. dog, wanted bar removable and it didn’t have to support a lot of weight. Per description it is for lighter weight human use. I can’t speak to human use that it was designed to do, but works well for the purpose I intended, easy to install and remove between uses. Sturdy bar for grooming sling and inexpensive.

Diseño sencillo y práctico. Construcción resistente y de buena calidad. Cumple su función sin problema. Toma un poco de tiempo instalarlo, ya que en mi caso tuve que hacer los seis agujeros en la pared para atornillar las bases y que fuera mas seguro. No recomiendo usarlo sin tornillos, en mi experiencia no se sostiene bien por si solo.

Me llego en menos de 12 horas con el envio estándar. Lo instale en menos de 5 min sin necesidad de usar los tornillos, me aguanta perfecto, peso 70kg.

The description says it can fit into the 36" door frame - this is false. See attached pictures, to fit it into the 36" you have to overextend the bar past the MAX marks and the bar starts to flex dangerously after that. You can put some spacers out of 3/4" plywood, this will give you 1.5" back so bar will be a little sturdier, but it will still flex. The max extension where the bar is save to use I would say is 33" so you will need 2 spacers out of 2x4" and you will have to use your own bolts as bolts supplied are too short.
