One by one, they will get what they deserve... "I stayed up all night reading this book and loved it!" --desertcart A night spent sleeping on dirt and leaves is not how Claire Matchett expected to spend her vacation. She thought this would be a break from the stresses of work and raising her young children. A chance to repair her damaged marriage. A week of hiking and hot tubs with two other couple friends. It sounded like heaven. Then Claire’s minivan breaks down on a lonely dirt road. With no cell reception, the group has no choice but to hike the rest of the way to their hotel . But it turns out the woods aren’t as easy to navigate as they thought. Hours later, they are lost. Hopelessly lost. And as they navigate deeper into the woods, the members of their party are struck down mysteriously one by one. Has a wild animal been hunting them? Or is the hunter one of them? But as more time passes, one thing becomes clear: Only one of them will return home alive. Review: Couldn’t Put It Down! Twisty and Fast-Paced - One by One by Freida McFadden had me hooked from the very first chapter! I love thrillers, and this one delivered everything I was hoping for — suspense, secrets, and nonstop tension. The story moves quickly and keeps you guessing right up until the end. Freida McFadden does such a great job of building atmosphere; I could practically feel the isolation of the setting and the uneasiness between the characters. Just when I thought I had it all figured out, there was another twist I didn’t see coming. It’s an easy read, super engaging, and the ending was so satisfying. Definitely one of those books you’ll want to talk about after finishing. If you enjoy psychological thrillers with strong pacing and great character dynamics, this one’s a must-read! Review: Quick read - It was a good read and kept me interested. Of course there is a twist that I was not expecting

I see what all the fuss is about!
The story kept me guessing. I was kind of disappointed that Claire's friend was one of the killers, it seemed like the author ran out of ideas and just threw that in. I enjoyed the book, and would recommend it.

Addictive
I love a good twist, and this had it for sure! Felt almost like a horror and a thriller all in one. Definitely an addictive read! A group of 6 friends decide to go to a remote inn for a week away. The problem? Two of the three couples seem to have marital issues, and it's making for an awkward car trip. Things get worse for the group when their car breaks down, leaving them stranded in the middle of nowhere. The group tries their best to make their way through a remote part of the woods with very little food and water. Throughout their adventure, members of their group seem to start disappearing - one by one. Will they find help before it's too late? I wasn't sure about this one - Claire, our main narrator, was not my favorite. The way she and Noah, her husband, talked to one another was so awful that I had to power through. Freida did a wonderful job of painting these two characters as a couple who are falling apart - the hatred between them is evident with every word on the page. This also did a great job of planting the seeds of doubt in your head - trying to figure out what is going on can be quite tricky! Overall, a great read that's hard to put down. Definitely give it a go!

I Enjoyed It !
This was a GREAT read! It begins with a fact of life that any human being can easily identify with. The author sprinkles breadcrumbs of mystery from the first chapter. Her descriptions enable you to easily imagine the scenes and identify with the different personalities of each character. Strange things begin to happen, which made me wonder what was really going on. But it wasn't what I thought. This wasn't a supernatural novel. But it certainly gripped me! I gobbled it up in three sittings. I looked forward to reading more, every time. It took my attention away from other books that I had purchased. Close to the ending, a true shocker materialized. Something that I could have never expected. The ending was also very satisfying. I highly recommend anything that this author has written. I've certainly become a fan!

The Mc Fadden I So Enjoy
After reading and disliking "The Dinner Party," I was happy this Mc Fadden book was one I could like as much as the others I really liked for the vivid and realistic human interactions, creative plot twists, and diabolical endings.

Tolles, spannendes Freida-Buch.
Tolles, spannendes Freida-Buch. Wie immer ein echter page-turner, nail-biting Story! Kann man nichts falsch machen, außer zu sammeln und pro Woche ein Buch lesen.

Almost a 5 star this time!
This was my favorite Freida McFadden story yet. Fast paced, and with a good cast of characters. Just a few unclear loose ends (i.e. who rigged the car battery, some other logistical moves... don't want to give away any of the plot) kept it from being a 5 star read. Good job, Dr. McFadden!

One by One
Thrilling story reminding me a bit of one of Agatha Christie's stories about 10 people having been invited to a small island and disappearing one by one. Of course Freida McFadden's story is much more up-to-date and much bloodier. I enjoyed reading it.

El paquete llegó abierto. El libro está bien pero los bordes están ligeramente maltratados al igual que el borde.
