Just as described. Held up well enough to sew a pieced quilt top.
Very good price. Although it's not a heavy duty machine, I was able to sew together pieces for 3 twin size quilt tops for my kids. It's not a quilting machine but sewed the pieces together well. It did great for a small machine and would be a great first machine for beginners.

Disappointed
I really had high hopes for this purchase, but after ordering it, I would definitely not recommend this sewing machine. Some background... I have sewn before on a White sewing machine. I wanted to get something basic for day to day needs, that is more portable, didn't break the bank, and something easy for my daughters to eventually use. I chose this one because of the price point, size, and reviews stating it is good for children or those new to sewing. I saw the negative reviews on Amazon, but because of the higher number of positive reviews combined with positive reviews I read on a few blogs, I went with this machine. I ended up needing to order two of these. The first machine I ordered was malfunctioning right out of the box, so I requested a return and a replacement machine. The second machine came and was malfunctioning in a different manner than the first, so I requested my money back. First, a few positive things to say: Both machines were packaged very well, the amount of accessories it comes with is very nice, the size of the machine is great for portability, the blue color is extremely pretty, and for its size, it did not feel cheaply made, but if the machine doesn't work properly, what good is it? With the first machine, the connection for the power adapter at the back of the machine felt very loose. It seemed like it could have easily fallen out. It didn't disconnect, but it did not feel secure (perhaps this was part of the issues I experienced with the machine). The machine would randomly start sewing when plugged in but turned off (scary and dangerous). Initially, the foot pedal worked, but then stopped working after about 5 minutes, and the issue with it starting to sew when turned off, continued while testing it. Back in the box it went. The second machine came and none of the issues from the first machine occurred. This machine had its own set of issues. I tried to do a reverse stitch and the machine shut off. I checked the manual to see if it was an error on my part, but I was doing it as the directions stated. It continued to happen. I tried testing another straight stitch and it started shutting off after a few stitches. I'm not sure if it was jamming or what was happening, but after seeing all the reviews about it constantly jamming on other people PLUS the issues I had with the first, AND the fact that the reverse stitch was not working, I decided not to wast any more time on this machine. A brand new machine should not be malfunctioning like this. Also, this was rated as a good choice for children or those new to sewing. I disagree with that statement. In my opinion, this machine would frustrate anyone learning to sew. I feel like I gave this machine a fair shot in requesting a replacement, because I realize that sometimes you get a lemon, but when two in a row are not working properly, I think it's safe to say it's the product. For anyone who decides to give this sewing machine a try anyway, I'll list a few additional notes that might be of interest. In looking through the manual due to the issue I had with the reverse stitch, I discovered that the manual states the reverse stitch only functions with straight stitching. I was not aware of that fact in reading specifications and reviews, and had I known that, I would not have ordered this machine. Also, the foot pedal is not like the one on my White sewing machine, in that, if you push a little, the machine sews slowly; push faster, it sews faster. This foot pedal is basically like an on/off switch. No matter how hard/soft you push, it sews at a slow speed. I could see someone quickly growing out of this machine (if they received one that didn't malfunction). Plus, the foot pedal did feel cheap and flimsy. Also, the low and high speeds controlled by the switch on the machine are a nice introductory level for children or those starting to sew, but again, I think most will advance past the speeds of this machine quickly. Obviously with the issues I experienced, I WOULD NOT recommend this sewing machine, but even if this machine functioned properly, I think there are way better machines close to this price point or a bit higher, that would be a much better option for children or those sewing for the first time.

Nice
It’s worked pretty good except the needle kept on breaking idk maybe it was me. But other than that it was good. No heavy duty

A Pleasantly surprised Quilter
I wanted a product that could fit in a small carryon luggage and not weigh a ton, to do basic quilt piecing. Thought I’d give this a try on a work trip to quilt in my hotel room, had no expectations - it actually worked very well. Is a little loud, but expected for the price point. Things to note : Best to use a small scrap as a leader so that keeps tensions threaded. I had less thread issues if I did that. Also if you have 1/4 inch tape or a sticky seam guide use it, as the presser foot is pretty basic in size not 1/4 inch foot. Once I used the leader scraps the stitching looked great, was able to go over point seams well. No light on machine, but a little LED reading light fixed that. and Don’t laugh at the foot peddle size..if you order one - it’s tiny - but did it’s job. For price and limited expectation I had for this - I am pleased with it overall…not a normal everyday workhorse machine, but did its intended job. I managed to complete piecing the blocks for three different projects and it kept me entertained on a extended work trip.

Not disappointed, but not impressed
Good little machine for light sewing and repairs. If you make your own clothes or heavier crafts consider a bigger machine like the old Singers. It has several stitch patterns and settings but only one speed. It is reversible. Built in light is not much help and foot pedal is small and light, makes a better hand switch than a pedal.

Machine sews the moment turned on, feels out of control
Well it's a cute, effective machine. I love how small it is yet not childish or lacking in abilities. The shipping came within hours after I purchased. The three stars is because it is not controlled. You have the off position, low and hi. There's a foot pedal which is silly since it begins to sew the minute you turn it on! Unreal. Why is this? Why can't it be ON and not running <sewing>. ?? I feel this is an issue because I WANTA to control when the machine will sew and not have to use my hand to push a button because I need to be holding the wheel. My usual machine can be turned on and not be "active " or sewing UNTIL I USE THE FOOT PEDAL TO ACTIVATE THE MACHINE TO SEW. I'm genuinely confused as to why this machine is set up to start sewing the Instant you flip a switch and if there's a hi setting then what is the point of the foot pedal? This is such a great machine otherwise and while I would have given it a perfect score if not for the instant sewing feature I have no control or choice about. That is a major issue, for me and I would have given it ONE STAR , butandhowever the actual sewing and size and 12 stitch features AND the fact that the ease and speed of purchase and delivery is why I gave 3 stars. So. I'm sorry this is such a deal breaker for me, I truly love this machine otherwise and I'm still keeping it because I will try my best to sew your way and pray I don't mess up my clothes. I'm very grateful for this lil machine and would strongly recommend TO READ THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU PURCHASE because I'm having a seriously hard time keeping my fabric straight and I've used all my scrap pieces practising and definitely don't feel comfortable to try my actual project.

Surprisingly Awesome
I bought this awhile ago but haven't had a chance to use it. First time use today and I was a bit worried because everyone was saying that it just runs when you turn it on and there is no way to stop it other than to turn it back off. The instructions don't explain it, but when you plug in the foot pedal, you don't need to turn it "on." Just use the pedal with the off-lo-hi switch at the off position and it works fine with total control at the foot pedal. In the lo and hi positions it does run without stopping. Once I figured this out, leaving it in the off position, everything went great.

Too good to be true
I was super excited when I got this item delivered to me today. The packaging was neat, all sewing assesories were present as the box displayed. I saw a black cloth covering/tote for the sewing machine. The manual came in both black-&-white and in color. All that I mentioned for sure sparked excitement (felt like Christmas!) to begin playing with it so that I can actually start using it to hem my pants/jeans and do small DIY projects. So, yes, cute mini machine, organized, on time, and already set-up to begin use?🤔 (FYI: "I purchased it NEW")...The needle, threads, and safety needle-guard were already in place. I was like🤗 "Wow, how nice it's already set-up to begin use." Then I noticed the try-sewing-yourself fabric piece had already been used and left under the footer👀. Me thinking positive of this, I thought it was proof that it did work so I was like😏 "Okay, this clearly shows me that it can sew." I read the manual (as stated and done like a good noodle 🤓) then I quickly removed the sewing machine from the rest of the packaging and plugged in both the charger and the foot pedal. It was the moment to turn it ON... I switched from OFF to L then on H....😨😱😡! This sewing machine was operating as if I was pressing on the foot pedal or turning the hand-wheel! Before getting more upset😤, I tried a couple times turning it OFF and then on L and H. It was no use, it was still operating without me not pressing on the foot pedal or turning the hand-wheel! 😢 Then, I was "okay, maybe it was given batteries!?" ☹I looked on that area, no batteries!? Then I examined 😷 the foot pedal and the charger. Diagnosis: no visible cracks.😔 😵... I am clearly heart broken and disappointed. I had been searching for a while in finding a sewing machine that could do basic and a few sewing stitch patterns for small DIY projects instead of doing it by hand. 🥺

Magicfly
Really surprised how good it is for the money, opened it & found it was already set up with white cotton & a sample cloth which showed it’s been tested, really easy to use, the add on table looks a bit cheap but the actual machine doesn’t, and lots of bits & pieces with it too.

Decent little machine for home crafts.
I was able to sew a couple of things to practice for about 20 minutes and then the Bobben underneath had too many extra strings and kept getting tangled every third stitch. Once I replaced the bobbin with another one that came from the pack it was good to go. So I will just have to unwind that one Bob in and redo it because it has too many extra threads that we’re getting caught. I was quite frustrated for some time trying to figure that out but once I did it’s an easy fix.
