UPDATE: so i’ve had this for like, 8 months. my one issue with it is … it smells. i use distilled water. i clean it after every use and allow it to dry (i set up a small desk fan pointing straight inside of it to dry it even better) - there’s no smell once i clean it, of course. then, i add a gallon of distilled water and set it up and within a few hours (i run it on the lowest setting, and i’m sure this is the issue. because this makes it go longer than 24 hours [though this smell happens wayyy before 24 hours]. i’d guess the water lasts about 40 hours on low), it stinks up the room it’s in. it smells like when clothes don’t dry all the way. that mildew smell. when i take it apart to clean it, there’s pink stuff (bacteria) in a lot of places, especially this one piece that comes off (only way to clean it properly - see pics). this would be so perfect if it just didn’t stink up the whole area it’s in. when you smell the water coming out, while the humidifier is running, it smells like mildew and it just makes ya feel like you’re spreading that all over the room. so, my advice is - don’t run this for longer than a few hours without cleaning it. i really wish it would last a whole gallon. i don’t know what to do to make this not happen. i follow the instructions for cleaning. again, there’s no smell after cleaning and when it’s first in use. i’d love to know how to make sure this doesn’t happen. i’m fine with having to clean it. that’s just what you have to do. it’s water in a closed container. but does it have to smell.. and so soon? 😩 still absolutely love the app. ORIGINAL: I am IN LOVE with this (had to say it again). I absolutely recommend it. I haven’t tried to clean it yet, but I looked at how the humidifier is put together and read the manual and it doesn’t seem all that hard - if that changes, I’ll edit this. But honestly, I was so nervous about this purchase. I looked at soooo many options and it was so overwhelming. I’m glad I settled on this one. The app is really cool. I don’t even touch the humidifier to control it at all. My son named it Wally. I have 2 hygrometers because I have a ton of houseplants and, while it’s not changing the humidity drastically (it’s not meant to. it’s meant to keep it comfortable. this isn’t gonna put your humidity at 80-90% or anything even close to that), it helps so much. Obviously I haven’t had it long enough to tell for my plants, but my boyfriends been really stuffed up and he’s been bragging about how helpful this has been. Within an hour of me having it on, he noticed a difference. We have a small 2 bedroom (752 sq ft) and I think it does well for the whole house, honestly. My hygrometer which was about 6 feet away, got to 54% with it on the second mist setting. I’ve only kept it on for a few hours at a time. I’ll set it for 4 hours here and there. I love that the app allows you to turn it off and on, set a timer for it, set how much mist you want. And you can direct the mist. It’s SUPER quiet. My space heaters are wayyy louder than this thing. 10/10 recommend. Absolutely.

Have had this humidifier for almost a year now, keep it on all the time and it’s still working as well as when I set it up. I bought it for my humidity-hungry plants and have it on 24/7. I exclusively use distilled water, but have used unfiltered tap water before. I keep it set to maintain around 60% humidity and it generally does a good job of maintaining that. I keep a hygrometer about six inches in front of it and find its internal hygrometer is pretty accurate. Though occasionally the humidity can dip 5+% without triggering the humidifier. Eventually corrects itself within the hour without intervention. The VeSync app that can be used to control this humidifier is super convenient. Through the app I can monitor the humidity in the room and micromanage the humidifier remotely if the humidity dips too low without triggering the humidifier. On the driest days of summer, I can find myself needing to refill the reservoir once a day. On some days this can be a chore, so one of these days I’d like to upgrade to a humidifier with a larger reservoir. My only complaint is that filling the reservoir is a little annoying. You refill the reservoir kinda like how you switch out bottles for an Alhambra water dispenser. You fill the reservoir with water, replace the lid, and flip it right side up to replace it onto the humidifier. The haven’t found a way to do this without getting drops of water everywhere. Not a big deal, really easy to clean after, but if I ever need to replace this I’d opt for a model that you can just pour water in from the top. The humidifier is really easy to maintain. Using distilled water helps a lot. I mostly just lightly scrub the device about once a month to remove or prevent any mildew or calcium buildup. I’ll update if any issues come up but 11 months on and I couldn’t be more satisfied with this humidifier.

This model lets you control the exact humidity with the app. You NEED the app to make to work perfectly, but it does have a Manual mode too. The humidifier is NOT extremely quiet (my old one was definitely better) but it doesn't bother me much, and I have extreme sound sensitivity. When it annoys me I just tell Alexa to turn it off even in the middle of the night. So great to be able to control it this way. The humidistat may not be very accurate (runs high), but you can manually set it to whatever you want and you can tell Alexa to adjust the humidity level. The app is easy to program and I set it to turn on at night and off in the AM so I don't forget it. There is even a reminder to change the water weekly. Overall this thing is GREAT for my purpose. I am very happy with it. I got a little three leg plant stand on amazon to put it on so it is off the floor. It doesn't make the floor wet using the stand. The water evaporates before reaching the carpet.

The humidifier is fairly quiet, and easy to set up with your phone once you download their app. All of the instructions are detailed and easy to understand, and it's pretty simple to use with the app. If I were to request a feature at this time, it would be that if the lights are set to off when I turn the machine off to refill the tank, they remain off when I turn the device back on again. The tank had a bottom-fill design, which can be a little difficult to work with sometimes, and I often spill a few drops of water while refilling it, but it hasn't significantly impacted my experience. What I do appreciate is that the tank size is just over 1 gallon, so if I buy a gallon of distilled water from the store, I know that is good for one tank-refilling. If you're thinking of buying a humidifier like this, MAKE SURE YOU'RE PREPARED TO BUY DISTILLED WATER TOO. I made the mistake of using tap water at first (the instructions do say to use purified water but I didn't think it would be that big a deal at the time), which left a white powder on all the nearby surfaces and an unpleasant smell in the air. I have been using distilled water since then, and haven't had a problem. I know I originally wanted a humidifier for the dry winter air without thinking about the water source I would need for it, so don't make my mistake. Overall, a very good product, would recommend.

My sister recommended me this product actually. I got this about a year ago and it’s still running perfectly and good as new. I love the prompt to clean it and it’s very user friendly with the app. I have it set in auto so it turns on when it reaches below the humidity percentage in the area. It changes colors for when it’s auto (blue light for using bluetooth auto), manual (green light) and when it runs out of water/need to refill (red light). Very quiet. Easy to clean which I use water and vinegar with a little bit of soap. I don’t have to refill it often with distilled water (please don’t use tap water). I think I fill it up about every 2-3 weeks during the summer. Now this it’s fall and getting cooler I can see it being refilled every 1-2 weeks depending how humid you want it in the room. I keep it at 45-50%. Anything more than is uncomfortable for me. I have asthma and this humidifier helps so much along with an air purifier. Totally recommend and would buy this again.

This is hands down one of the best purchase decisions I’ve made, what a fresh deference the Levoit humidifier made of the quality of air in our home. Coupled with the Levoit air purifier; breathing is so much better. Getting these Levoit machines setup on the VeSync app was super easy, once you have one of them setup the app will technically detect any other Levoit machines and connect them for you. I truly appreciate all of the different operating options for these machines but the auto feature is my favorite by far. I am not just happy that I made the decision to purchase the Levoit humidifier and air purifier machines I am ecstatic about the quality of air we breathe now, just because we live in Texas doesn’t mean life has to be plagued with dust and humidity. Up Date: I believe, behind any good product there should be an outstanding customer service; I own several different LEVOIT products, but what good are any products if you cannot get after sale service. I haven’t been able to communicate with customer service for any of the LEVOIT products I’ve purchased. Poor customer service knocks five stars down to one; and for that reason, I’m out. Update: Perhaps I was a bit impatient in a review I recently made concerning LEVOIT. However, it is so important for one to recognize his/her error and make the necessary corrections in their judgments. In previous reviews I make it clear that LEVOIT products are outstanding and I stand by that. I own several LEVOIT products and each one of them work flawlessly. I recently offered my thoughts about LEVOIT customer service and have since discovered that; said review is inaccurate, unfair and offered prematurely. LEVOIT customer service has since reached out with a very sincere apology as well as a complete and understandable explanation for their delay assisting me with my concerns. I am very grateful, appreciative and completely satisfied with the service I have received from LEVOIT customer service. My concerns have been addressed and thoroughly resolved, turns out LEVOIT customer service is totally opposite of the description in my previous review and very well deserving of the five stars that I originally rated all of the LEVOIT products that I own. I bought this humidifier last winter, in large part because it has the humidistat/auto mode. It has some of the same limitations as other cool-mist models, where minerals in the water will get into your air. I used distilled water from the supermarket for the first fill, but then tried water from a Brita filter. After a night of filtered water, my gas stove's flames were bright yellow--so I switched back to distilled and haven't used tap/filtered water since. There are two important things about the auto function. First, as other reviewers indicate, the sensor isn't terribly accurate. My unit consistently reads much higher than two other humidity sensors I have. For example right now it reads 65% when the other sensors report 50% and 51% (in two connected rooms). Sometimes it's closer to being only 10% off. Second, the hysteresis (amount of overshoot/undershoot from your selected humidity) is +/- 3%. If you had it set for 50%, that means it can drop to 47%, then will run until you get to 53%. I feel like this range is too large, plus it means that in a medium-size room the unit has to run for a while to bring it from the low point to the high point. I reached out to Levoit about these issues in March last year and at the time they basically said that the sensor accuracy is affected by room size, how close it is to things. etc. and just said to let the unit dry out entirely, change the nozzle direction, and try again. As we head back towards winter here, the unit is still just as inaccurate as before! Moving on to cleaning, my feelings are kind of mixed. I appreciate the opening on the water tank, which does in fact let me fit my hand inside. However, there are fins of plastic on the inside that are hard to clean around. There's also a tube that runs down the inside of the tank with tight clearance between the tube and the side wall. I squeeze a sponge in between there and hope I get it good enough. The outside of the tank has a piece towards the bottom that detaches, but it's also got a lot of small spaces that are harder to get to. The base isn't so bad to clean, although it's easy to splash water into the humidity sensor while you're at it. Ironically, one time the included cleaning brush got moldy in between tank filling. Sometime more recently they added some useful functionality in the app. One thing is that you can track your humidity over time, with a week of history. It's kind of interesting to see that doing a ton of cooking (especially with gas) raised the humidity even a short distance to the bedroom. An additional app change is that they added "Smart Scenes". This functionality can work as a kind of workaround for the wide humidity range offered in "Auto" mode. With smart scenes, you can set up a rule to change the fan speed up when the humidity drops below some percentage, then add another rule that will switch it back to Auto when the humidity goes above a point. This allows you to tighten up the range, e.g. "turn on when below 50%" and "turn off when over 50%", giving you just a 2% spread instead of 6%. Overall I'm happy enough with the unit, but I'm taking off a couple stars--mostly because of the limitations on auto mode, since that's a key differentiator for this unit versus many similar units.

Tiene buena bruma, es alta, si tiene instructivo y las pautas de cuidado, la app te indica el nivel de humedad que hay y el que alcanza, tiene temporizador programable y te recuerda que debes lavarlo. Seguro hay mejores con más precio... Yo quisiera no haber comprado los otros y que todas las habitaciones tuvieran éste... Material más resistente, bastante capacidad, fácil y práctico de movilizar...

Muy buen producto y alcanza para habitaciones grandes, gracias a la app puedes regular la intensidad requerida y muchas cosas mas, me dura dos noches el tanque en el nivel 5 o 6 es decir al 50% aprox de su capacidad maxima, lo pongo de las 11:30pm a las 8:30am cero ruido y funciona de maravilla... muy recomendable! En otros reviews lei que moja el puso al rededor pero en mi caso no he notado que se moje, tampoco siento respirar mejor de la sinusitis pero si se siente una mejoría en la tos de fumador normal de las mañanas... muy recomendado!!

Es muy práctico porque puede encenderse/apagarse remotamente gracias a la aplicación para el celular. Tiene 4 diferentes niveles a de operación y solo no le pongo las 5 estrellas porque no sube mucho el vapor, se queda hasta unos 20 cm por encima del aparato.

Excelente producto. De muy buena calidad, la brisa que arroja es potente y de verdad refresca las habitaciones. Se conecta fácilmente a tu smartphone. Lo único malo es que la función de aromatizante no es tan potente y el mismo fabricante te dice que es muy sutil pues su función principal no es esa.
