Quick fix of microwave oven.
This was a five star item. First it was delivered very quickly. I hadn't even put my tools away used to disassemble the equipment before the new parts came (2 days). Then, I installed the new parts (capacitor and diode) and turned the microwave on with a load and it came on and heated the cup of liquid. I like fixing broken items like this! Thanks.

Fixed my aunts frigidaire microwave
My aunt has a frigidaire gmos1962afa microwave that the fuse had blown out causing it to loose all power. I replaced the fuse first, being the easiest thing to start with and while it got the power back on it, it quickly blew out again a couple of seconds after pressing the start button. I could tell it sounded like it struggled to get started like the capacitor was bad but I was not sure at the moment without testing it. I went ahead and got this one to have on hand for when I took it down to take it apart to check. Fortunately once it was all apart, the old capacitor did test bad and already having this one I was able to go ahead and change it. I got it all back together, installed another new fuse and it worked great again. So between this capacitor and a pack of fuses, I've got around $20 in it. Not bad to fix a $400 microwave. While this ended up being an involved project, it is a relatively easy fix. These capacitors can be very dangerous and should only be replaced by someone confident in these kind of repairs.

The same capacitor on my LG microwave
This capacitor is exactly the one in my LG microwave that I found to be defective due to a repeated blown fuse. I didn't hesitate to buy it yesterday. It arrived and installed it today and now my LG microwave is operational again.

Easy fix if you know how!
Exact replacement. Made by the same company as OE. Non-polarized capacitor for $12. A great deal. Whirlpool and Amana sell this same unit for about $100. My old Amana microwave is now working perfectly again
