Park Tool Valve Core Remover

Perfect tool for those now more frequently loose presta valve cores! Easy to use and does the job right.

i decided to go tubeless and this product helped me in the transition! the tubeless setup is based on the following products purchased from amazon: 1. taylor wheels- 26-inch wheelset (with mavic xm317 rims and deore xt hubs) 2. xtreme bike & sport- schwalbe nobby nic 26x2.25, ss, tl-easy (2015) 3. think fast- stans notubes 10ydx21mm rim tape 4. think fast- stans notubes 2-0z sealant injector 5. bike a mile- park tool valve core remover 6. trail this- American classic valve stem for t/less wheels products from local bike shop: 1. velox rim tape 10mm 2. stans notubes tire sealant- 16 oz tools required: 1. rim levers 2. air compressors I tried the co2 to inflate the tires, but I found that an air compressor works way better. tires are running at 35psi. I used the velox rim tape to secure the spoke's nipple access and the stans rim tape to make the rim air tight. the 10mm velox rim tape is perfect for the xm317 rims because it was narrow enough to allow exposed metal contact for the stans notubes 21mm rim tape. the velox rim tape also reduces the chance that the sharp edges do not cut the stans notubes rim tape. I used the injector to put in 2-oz of sealant via the valve stem. this process is less messy than trying to put the sealant via the bead/rim gap or mounting the bead. no leaks or loss of air after 40 miles of riding as of this post! AWESOME!!! ALL THE PRODUCTS PURCHASED THROUGH AMAZON WERE PERFECT AND RECEIVED IN EXCELLENT SHIPPING TIME! tubeless is the way to go. my wheels setup are now much lighter than with the thorn resistance inner tubes (some tubeless setups are heavy than with inner tubes, so it is a good idea to be selective in what type of tires you need for your riding style). as of benefits, I do feel the bike accelerates better and seems more responsive due to less rotational mass. this tubeless setup is mounted a on a 2000 klein attitude comp hardtail bicycle. trail on!

I like park tools, this works as it should. Well made. I ordered two one for my work area and one for my ride pouch just in case.

Great little tool. Not suitable for Bernzomatic camping propane tanks. Tool cannot reach far enough into the valve stem.

Compact easy to use on inner tubes with removable valves.

Park Tool Valve Core remover works as advertised. It is a small and lightweight tool. It is made of a durable alloy. The tool is as easy to use as a screwdriver. Decent value for the money. Made in the USA!

Not the most important of gizmos to have in your bike tool collection, but a useful device nonetheless. I use Lezyne pumps with their screw on fitting for Presta and Schrader valves as I tended to destroy presta valves with my old Zefal (SKS) Husky and HP frame pumps. The trade off is that with the Lezyne screw on fitting, Presta valves can end up backing out of the stem when unscrewing the pump fitting. Bit amusing to see the valve assembly shoot out of the fitting, but not of benefit when in a rush. I know I can and have used needle nose pliers for tightening the valve assembly, but love my tools and knew the pliers would cause damage, so I figured why not order this not so expensive Park tool. Plus it is rather pretty. It works as it is supposed to on removable Presta fittings. Have not had need for the Schrader fitting, so I cannot offer feedback on the reverse end, nor the threaded notch in the middle (to chase, or cleanup, the threads on the stem). It makes for easy tightening, and no more flying valves. Not all Presta tubes have removable valves from what I read on Gore's interwebs. Schwalbe tubes appear to have them and they are what I use. Recommended.

Comodo, funzionale e leggero, più che robusto per applicare la limitata forza che serve sulle valvole. Toglie i core da valvole sia Presta che Schrader e aiuta a stringere le estensioni per le Presta. L'unico difetto, comune a tutti i prodotti Parktool, è il prezzo. Se lo scopo è solo svitare i core delle Presta, ci sono attrezzini in plastica da pochi centesimi. Per le Schrader se chiedete al vs. gommista è facile che l'attrezzo ve lo regali, ma qs. è indubbiamente molto più figo!
