DGL Licorice 380mg 200 Capsules – Deglycyrrhizinated Licorice Root Extract

I have suffered from the symptoms of chronic gastritis for the past 9 months. Medication wasn't alleviating the problem. After doing a search on the web for a more natural approach to curing the symptoms, I purchased the DGL licorice. I have been taking it half an hour before meals in combination with Zinc Carnosine for the past 3 weeks. I am happy to report that I have been almost completely symptom free. There have been a couple of relapses when I ate foods that were not part of the GERD diet (ie. Red sauces or spicy foods). I plan to continue the DGL licorice for a full 2 months to heal my stomach lining. I was sceptical to begin with, but the fact is, I am sooooo much better since starting the DGL licorice.

Trying to get off of Prilocet which I have been on for years. I started taking this DGL but I have to take at least 2- 3X a day. I don't think that can hurt you even though it says to take less. It works most of the time, sometimes however I still have to take a tums. I also take a probiotic with it. I am keeping my fingers crossed. So far so good. The label says not to take it for more than 30 days, I have read where you can take this daily and I will be, it beats Prilocet daily and for sure beats heartburn!

I gave this a 3 star review because it does not give a clear percentage of the amount of glycyrrhizine it contains. I did send an email to get the info to the company with no response after 2 weeks. I started taking 2 to 3 per day before a meal. It did help relieve my stomach from which I have gastritis and a possible unconfirmed ulcer. I had to cut back to 1 time per day because of heart palpitations I started getting from the DGL. That's why I wanted the percentage of the glycyrrhizine. Be careful with the product as it can cause heart palpitations and elevated bp.

They definitely help. I was surprised. I bought these because I was buying new products to replace my Omeprozole for GERD, I also have IBS-D, gastritis, esophagitis and duodenitis. So I have quite the digestive ruckus to work with. The first time I used it, I didn't notice anything. However, the 2nd time! I had heartburn bad; I took one and within 20 minutes or less, gone. I was amazed. I take it before meals, particularly containing onion, garlic and acids and it has helped tremendously. I guess there are some health warnings for those with blood pressure issues I think I read, heed to those. Always research anything before buying to make sure it's a good fit for all your conditions and if you take any meds.

Great stuff! These pills really helped me when I was transitioning off of Aciphex (proton pump inhibitor) and Zantac and I was getting terrible rebound heartburn.. I noticed a HUGE difference when taking DGL versus the days I didn't take it. I definitely recommend these if you have any digestive concerns, especially heartburn/indigestion or constipation. It really helps soothe your digestive tract.

I love these capsules. I've taken chewable DGL in the past but taking it without fructose is pretty much unbearable because they taste so bad. I purchased these capsules in the hope they would replace the chewables, and they did! I take one twice a day, and it works just as well as chewables did. They are standard capsule size. I highly recommend this if the chewables are hard to deal with.

I have been of this stuff for over a year. They do not work as well as the chewables. I used these up, but went back to the chewables and they work much better. I would not recommend if you have an ulcer and need quick relief.
