Does what it says!
Tested this at home first. Plugged in headphones and powered on. Noticed a little bit of white noise, very quiet and tolerable though. Plugged in the xlr to my bass DI and it sounded great. Brought it to rehearsal. Plugged it into our mixer where a typical wireless IEM unit would get plugged in. And it worked perfect! Was able to hear the click and the full mix, plenty of volume on tap. Seems like the battery is going to last really long too. Really happy to have this for situations where I can have a wireless IEM unit. Definitely recommend for the price

Great for wired IEM setup, Light, dependable and solid, relatively low noise
This is my first foray into IEM's and this box is perfect. I wasn't sure about IEM's and did not want to spend over $1000 for a great wireless system or roll the dice with a cheap one. A band member recommended these as they are dependable and we generally play small stages so being bound to a cable is not a big deal. The Donner box allows me to run my monitor mix directly from one of my Zoom L20 mixer's aux sends. The box is very light. As long as you use a good TRS stereo cable, the signal is clean. I bought some $50, 5 driver Linsoul KZ earbuds and the combination has given me a dependable wired IEM system. I am amazed at how well I can now hear myself and the other vocalists. our harmonies will be so much better. I find myself asking why I didn't do this before. Please note that It is necessary to have either a send that uses an XLR or to use a TRS stereo 1/4" cable or use and TRS to XLR adapter. With a straight guitar cable you will just get one side\ear. I actually kind of like that. This is a great product if you are okay with being wired.

Good sound, Good Value
I could not stand the AAA batteries coming loose in the Behringer personal amps for the IEMs we use for church worship band all the time and I was not too enthusiastic about the sound quality of the Behringer models. I went out on my own and purchasede this EM1, as it is rechargeable and has no batteries to come loose while I'm playing drums. The clarity is a noticeable difference. (I am using the MEE M6 Pro IEMs), I can say without a doubt that I prefer the compact design, sound quality and the rechageable battery of the EM1 over the behringer I was using. I had no connectivity issues, it was easy to use and the overall quality seems to be above aberage for the price. I am by no means a professional, but for practice and playing a 30 minute set each week, I am satisfied. I would buy again.

Inexpensive option for drummers to use in-ear monitoring
Does what it says - amplifies a monitor signal from the board and outputs it through a 3.5mm jack. Battery lasts long enough for 3+ hour gigs (possibly more - I don't play longer than that, and it hasn't died on me yet). Plenty of volume for my Shure 315s even at about 30% on the volume knob. One quirk to be aware of - if you use the 1/4" input on the combo jack, the unit interprets the signal as stereo, and will only output to one ear. If you want to use a mono 1/4" cable, you'll have the same issue. For mono signals, you'll need to use XLR. Nice feature, as it allows stereo monitoring if you have it, but I wish I would have known ahead of time. My only real gripe is the volume knob is easy to bump, and I have to fiddle with it several times during a set, usually, after knocking it out of place. Wish it were harder to turn, or provided a way to lock.

Pleasantly Surprised
I’ve taken this unit on tour with me the last few weeks and I’m happy to say that it’s doing the job well. The combo jack does accurately perform in stereo, contrary to some reviews from a previous iteration of the unit. If I’m being honest, as a stationary musician (drummer), this can be a real clutch piece on a stressful gig. The battery holds charge for even the longer gigs, but I recommend keeping a charger in the van or however you’re traveling. I’ve heard some news about it not charging after a while, but I’ve found that you have to charge it using its proprietary usb A to C cable… or one that matches voltage with the proprietary cable. It’s a drag, but knowing that you can possibly use another cable is worth mentioning. Do your best not to lose that original cable, though. I’ve had no luck with usb c to c. Hope this helps, enjoy!

These are excellent, you can't beat the quality and value!
Excellent product for its price point. You can't beat the quality build, features, power, clarity and value. I've paired these with KZ ZARs and highly recommend!

Stopped charging
This product stopped charging. I have used the cable that came with it and multiple others. It will not charge. I have contacted the company. They will not contact me back. Do not buy this. It’s a piece of crap. Also, the warranty ran out on Amazon to turn it back.

It is nothing fancy but it works.
It has been working just fine for several years now for our Worship Leader at church.

super article

Basically the same as a Behringer P2 but at half the cost
Very impressive. Haven't given them the real road treatment, but from a price point, I can buy 2-3 of these compared to the next available competitor's product, which I've now done. Fantastic volume range. Drives headphones very well and really has power for in-ear drivers. Charges quick (standard USB charger), and lasts quite a long time, hours and hours of continuous use. Combo STEREO 1/4" jack input and XLR input jack. Has an LED to show you its on, and lights up the input connector internally so you can see where to plug it in the dark. Power switch on the side is flush with the side of the case so really wouldn't get turned off accidently. Came with charge cable and an 1/8 stereo -> 1/4 TRS cable Very light. Easy to find volume knob in the dark. CONS I'm not sure if I have found, or would qualify any of the following as cons, but have to say something for a balanced review, only thing that might be an issue is the 1/4 cable might pull out, there isn't a way to lock it in. And its completely made of plastic vs metal competitors. But feels rugged plastic.

sound quality is subpar for a headphone amp
Though plastic, it appears to have a decent build quality. The item is light and looks practical even though I never used it in a band setting. There's plenty of volume, too. However, the sound quality is below average. No bass and low mids whatsoever. I hooked it up to my aux out of my audio interface and the sound quality was exactly the same as when I would've connected my headphones directly. So at best, this is just a cheap volume knob. As such, it can be used on a headphones output. When looking for a decent headphone amp: avoid. If you just need a knob to control the volume of headphones out: this will do, but I feel there are better options. I was really hoping this would be a nice little back-up for my wireless in-ear system, but the sound quality makes it too unpleasant to use.
