Solid Brass Garden Hose Repair Connector with Clamps Hose End Repair Kit,Fit for Male and Female Hose Fittings (5/8"-3 Set)

We've got two kinds of issues with hoses around here: 1)The ends were cheaply made and have issues, or 2) they were on a hose reel of some sort that no longer works. This little amazing kits puts brass ends on just about any hose. 3 sets to a box with everything you need. Cut a nice clean end off your hose, clamp on of these on and you are ready to roll. I've replaced some cheap aluminum ends that were starting to corrode and 2 houses from a retractable hose set up that failed. Really nice threads, good thickness and sturdy. I'm pretty sure these will outlive me and when the hose finally gives way, I can use these ends on other hoses. Great pricing for solid connectors.

• Excellent deal. The package includes three male and three female solid brass hose repair fittings, six stainless steel worm clamps and six hose washers. The internal and external threads appear flawless and operate smoothly. It’s really nice to have the extras on hand because no one can predict when they will be needed and trust me you don’t want to buy a repair set at any of the big box home improvement stores for at least three reasons. 1. Way more expensive. 2. You only get either the male or the female. 3. You will NEVER find solid brass. Avoid aluminum fittings (usually colored to look like brass) because they oxidize and become impossible or very difficult to remove. My second picture shows one of these aluminum fittings that developed an actual hole resulting in water spraying everywhere. My only complaint (no stars deducted) is the worm/band clamps. They are of good quality, but I hate them because they can end up cutting your fingers while using your hose. I always use single ear clamps because of their superior seal, don’t stick up so high and they look more professional. I don’t recommend buying a set of crimpers unless you have other uses for them ($$). Bottom line: I highly recommend these and will buy more if my supply runs short … happy watering.

Appears to be good quality and sturdy enough metal. However, the hose clamps supplied are too small to fit a quality contractor grade 5/8" garden hose.

This is a good product and I would order again. My hose leaked when I first repaired it, but no fault of the connector. The hose I have is kink less and has ribs inside. I used a razor knife and removed about 1/2" of the ribs and reinstalled the fitting. Perfect. BTW, just for good measure, I wrapped the threads with Teflon tape. Perfect.

These are the best ones I have purchased 1. They are real brass. 2. They fit better 5/8 hose very well 3. They have a second washer for each set. 4. The clamps fit the well. 5. I haven't had these long so don't know about durability but they look very good. 6. They are not the cheapest but at this point I believe they are worth it. I am placing a second order today. 7. The last ones I purchased do not work well at all with good quality hoses. I kept them but they are not as good as these.

I don't think the company selling these has any clue what they are selling based on the descriptions. The threaded side is the same on both the 5/8 and 3/4 which it should be, but their 5/8 version states 5/8 hose barb, which is incorrect. Anyway, both of these fit normal garden hose threaded (GHT, MHT, FHT) faucets and connections, so that part is fine, just incorrectly described. The barbed side is where we have the problems. The 3/4 is definitely too small for 3/4 hoses and the 5/8 is definitely too small for 5/8in hoses. I've tried with several hoses of each size, all different brands, and the barbs are simply 1 size too small for what they are described for. It's possible these are metric, being re-sold by converting to standard dimensions. So, you can likely use the 3/4 connectors for actual 5/8 hose repair and the 5/8 connectors for 1/2in hose repairs, you may need to soak the end of the hose in boiling water to make it more flexible, but not really any chance at repairing a 3/4 with the 3/4 or a 5/8 with the 5/8 and actually getting it tight enough to stay in place. The materials seem to be decent although the clamps are definitely a low quality point of the product, just go to the hardware store and buy decent hose clamps, the ones included are literally useless. Otherwise, appears to be high quality brass, no burrs, discoloration or anything that would suggest this is low quality metal or something just colored to look like brass. But regardless, these won't work for what they are being sold for, even if they are high quality.

Works like a charm. I have a very large yard and use these quite often. I should have bought more. And I probably will.

I use these to connect soaker hose. Good quality!
