I've tried the products that come with multiple applications and different sanding pads, and the final application solutions - all for removing that haze that builds up on older car headlight covers. These products take time to apply, are not inexpensive, and contrary to their boasts they do not last that long before the headlight covers get hazed over again. And then I found out about Autosol from a Youtube video!!! This metal polish works great on hazed over headlight covers. I use a disposable glove on one hand and with one finger I cover the entire headlight cover with a thin layer of this polish. I then use a soft terry cloth or cotton rag - something I don't mind throwing away afterwards - and proceed to polish out the cover using circular motions. You will be absolutely shocked at how clear this gets the headlamp covers! I usually do each cover twice and they truly come out crystal clear - or at least clearer than I could ever expect of headlamp covers that are on a 2005 Toyota. Once I polish the headlight cover it usually lasts at least 4 months before I start to notice the haze gradually re-appearing and use it again. However, this one tube of Autosol lasts for about 15 applications - 2 headlamp covers being 1 application. I have done my son's car numerous times, his girlfriend's car, and even a couple friends' cars and everyone is shocked by how good their headlight covers come out. You will not regret giving this polishing compound a try at clearing up the haze on your headlight covers.

I researched for about a week for the best polish for my '73 Nova I'm restoring. Ended up getting this, and I'm so glad I did. I almost can't believe how well it works, but it does! Takes the rust right off and leaves the chrome/polished metals smooth with a great shine. Pretty incredible. Thanks, y'all! I will recommend this as far and wide as I can.

The absolute best chrome cleaner and polish I have ever used on my Harley. The bike had some rust spots after being stored for a while and this removed them easily, even cleaning the pipes. I applied with a micro fiber rag with very little pressure needed, and buffed to a shine with a separate cloth. No strong smells. Everything should work this well…and this easily! 100% recommend!

Works but does not give the best shine

I have been using Autosol for years and love this product. It polishes metal like no other and the results are amazing. It makes the look of the metal practically brand new. Now I'd probably wear a mask if you can't take strong smells of vinegar. Nothing too crazy but it is strong. Use a small and direct polisher or put in some elbow grease.

This stuff is amazing. Used to bring the aluminum door sill plates of my 1965 mustang back to life. Not much is needed, just apply and buff off and it brought the shine back to these 60 year old parts. Highly recommended!

Alrighty y’all listen up! I done got me a tube of this here Autosol Metal Polish, and lemme tell ya it’s slicker than a greased pig on a slip and slide. I had my ol’ truck lookin like it had been sittin in the back forty during a hailstorm, rustier than a junkyard gate. But I slapped some of this here magic goop on there, gave it a good rub with a rag I borrowed from Mawmaw’s quilt pile and hot dang that chrome’s shinin brighter than a full moon on a coon hunt. Took me about as long as it takes to shotgun a PBR and now my ride’s lookin so purty I reckon I could take it to the county fair and win a blue ribbon. Smells a bit fancy for my likin, like somethin them city folks ought to use, but it gets the job done quicker than a possum snatchin a biscuit. Five stars y’all. Autosol’s the real deal for keepin yer metal sparklin like a new deer stand.
