Instructions state to charge for 8 hours at first and then states do not charge for extended periods of time??

It comes charged but it's better to charge to 100%. After that, the indicator will let you know when you need to recharge it again.

It's fairly quiet. It's quieter then my other clippers. And I do like how lightweight it is.
