Butter Box, 1-Pound

Perfect for a stick of butter - - maybe even 2 at a time. Very cute. Liked it enough to where I bought a second one to give as a present.

Sooo cute! My husband teased me for spending $40 on a butter box, but we use it daily and love it. :) I searched for quite awhile and this was my fave, holds 2 sticks of butter if you want. Looks great sitting out!

I like the way it looks but the lid doesn't fit correctly and often slips inside and gets butter on it.

This ended up being smaller than what I thought is was going to be but does hold a pound of butter and looks very cute on the counter

This is a very attractive butter box. it keeps the butter cool and fits two regular sticks easily or a 1 lb European block. My criteria for a butter dish is that it must be deep with a shallow lid rather than a shallow tray with a domed lid, reasonably priced, have a handle and look great. This fits the bill! I took one star off because the lid doesn't fit very well but hey, it's pottery (it's not terrible, just doesn't fit as snugly as I would like.)

Lid does not fit well. A cover should fit down to keep dust and any thing else out. Sent back will look for something else. Liked the look But not the quality for the money.

This dish looks nice but there is not a tight fit on the lid... its very loose... meaning your butter is just exposed to the air in the fridge. Also the dish is surprisingly lightweight, doesn't have the weight I imagined a ceramic dish would. Also 1 pound of butter does not fit well in it, I had to cut off quite a bit to get my 1 lb block to fit.

LOVE THIS BUTTER BOX, IT IS A FUN ITEM TO HAVE IN THE KITCHEN. HAS A DEEP WELL SO THERE IS ROOM TO "DIG" IN AND GET WHAT YOU NEED. VERY WELL MADE...

Wie anderswo schon gefragt: Wie "rezensiert" man eine Butterdose? Nun, hier der Versuch einer Produktbewertung. Die Butterdose wurde als Ersatz für eine vorherige von Henry Watson, aus Terracotta, gewählt und ist dieser sehr ähnlich, bis auf das Material. Leider wird die von HW nicht mehr hergestellt. Ob die Kühlung der Butter in dieser Keramikdose außerhalb des Kühlschranks ähnlich sein wird, wird sich noch zeigen, denn zum Zeitpunkt des Kaufs war es Winter. Hübsch anzusehen, passt zu jedem Geschirr, wenn es nicht allzu modern ist. Zum Thema "wackelnder Deckel": Auf dem kurzen Weg von Küche zum Esstisch o.a. ist der lose aufliegende Deckel kein Problem, da die Butterdose selbst, wie man auf dem Photo sehen kann, nach oben abgerundet ist und den Deckel somit gut aufnimmt. Runter fallen kann er nicht und wenn man am Tisch sitzt stört der lose Deckel auch nicht. Es wäre wohl störend, wenn der Deckel ähnlich den Gewürzgefässen von Henry Watson mit Gummi abgedichtet wäre, da man dann nicht mehr mit einer Hand den Deckel abheben könnte, um sich Butter zu nehmen. Ist sicher Geschmacksache, wie man es gern hätte, aber kein Mangel am Produkt.
