Excellent resource, not just for exams but also term time
My daughter is currently studying her AS-Level and GCSE Computer Science courses and, being a big fan of these CGP books, we got her the Complete Revision & Practice book and this one, The Revision Guide, to help her with her studies. Although these tend to be more targeted towards the exam, they are also very useful during term time as well. This book arrived in good condition and consisted of a 82- page A4 book with semi hard cardboard cover. This covers the new syllabus for all grades 1-9. The book is split into the following 7 sections: 1. Algorithms 2. Programming 3. Design & Testing 4. Data Representation 5. Computer Systems & Databases 6. Networks 7. Issues At the end of Section 7 are two Practice Papers, Answers, Glossary and Index. Each topic is easily located with clear headings. Different areas are laid out in boxes containing clearly written explanations, with the important words underlined. At the end of each section are “Revision Questions” for that section. At the end of the book, you also have the opportunity to work through the practice exam papers. The book also includes a code to access the online edition, so it can be read on a laptop/PC, tablet/iPad or even a mobile phone. Which is a very useful resource in this day and age. This is an extremely easy to use Revision guide, everything is laid out clearly and explained well. The book can also help support the student during term times as well, particularly if they have tests. Also, I find them useful to help understand what my daughter is studying and engage/help her where I can. We have quite a few of these CGP books and they are all very well written and highly recommended. I hope you found this review & photos interesting, informative, and useful. Thanks for reading.
