Installed it on a 2001 BMW E46. The tire valves on two tires were leaking air through a crack and I would have to put in air everyday. Found these valves because I was looking for something that looked metallic. Theres actually another sleeve that goes over the valve stem itself for added durability. I purchased the AME 51025 Quick Valve Change Tool becauae I saw reviews and a video of it easily removing and replacing tire valves without breaking the bead of the tire. However, the tool does not work on all rims. The reason is that the hole where the tire valve goes into is supposed to be flat. On this rim, it has a weird shape to where those tools won't work because the butt of the valve stem won't push in from the front Due to the rims on the BMW, the bead of the tire needed to be broken; theres no way around this. Take it to a tire shop to do it. Have a professional take care of it if you're unsure of how to do it. While I wouldn't recommend it to others, I looked up some videos and broke the bead myself using a hydraulic jack and a ratcheting strap. It took a bit of finesse to get the tire valve in while the bead was broken because you still need to push the wheel out of the way with one hand and then feel the tire valve into the hole from the inside. If you drop the valve while trying to finagle it into the interior valve hole, you will need to take the entire wheel off the rim in order to retrieve it. The tire valves are what they are but they look good on the rims and also have a sleeve over them for added durability. The tire valve caps are also metallic which adds a nice touch.

Used these on some Mercedes wheels that never came with TPMS. They fit perfectly, look great, and hold air. A note to anyone shopping for valve stems - they are not universal. I see a lot of reviews bashing the product because they did not fit or work with their wheels, and 99% of those people didn't bother to find out what size valve stem fits their wheel. Numbers like TR413, TR218, TR15, etc., are very important - they denote the size/dimensions and securing style of the valve stem, and they can be very different from one another. Do your research before hand so you don't wind up with something that doesn't work in your application.
